Greetings to my Comics Heating Up and Awesomesauce families. I would like to say thank you for reading this each and every week. As always thank you for the friendship, encouragement, advice, and support. I love being a part of this and it is the greatest blessing in my life.
I want to say The Despicable Deadpool #288 was the bomb. Batman the Merciless and Flash #33 were #awesomesauce. I Hate Fairyland #1-4 are great. Hal Jordan Green Lantern #30-31 hal Jordan vs superman was my read of the week. The Gifted keeps getting better and better. Now lets make money with comics because you can’t teach that.
1. X-Men #174 (Vol. 2) – first Pulse. Pulse is on Gifted. Gifted is the live action equivalent to the 1992 animated series. Pulse was #awesomesauce in last weeks episode this book is still cheap, $5
2. Uncanny X-Men #399 – first Stacy X. She is a mutant and she is a working girl. Gifted should cast Stacy X and she needs cos play love. It is mad cheap $2-5
3. Extreme Studios Christmas Special – Never too early to look for that special gift for the comic fan. This is in less then a dollar boxes, it has Stephen Platt art, and it is Christmas to the extreme. Happy hunting
4. Detective Comics Annual #8 – the Riddler is big pimping. Maybe one season the Gotham show will get this group of ladies right. Quire and Echo are two club girls turned Riddler henchwomen. This can be had for the cheap $5
5. New Mutants #86 – this is a perfect storm, first cameo of Cable, first Rob Liefeld official art on the series, a Todd McFarlane cover, and the Mutant Liberation Front. MLF was name dropped on the Gifted plus Cable is in Deadpool 2 $20 and up
6. Goofy Digest #43 (Gold Key Comics) – this came out in 1973, why in the heck does Mickey Mouse let Goofy hang out with him? Goofy is a hot mess. In this special he turned 50 years old and Mickey Mouse does enjoy his company and you can’t teach that $10 and up
7. Heroes Illustrated #1 – under printed fanzine from the 1990’s. Tried to go up against Wizard this has a Deadpool appearance and features Dr Mirage for the Valiant fans $5 and up
8. The Ticks Back #0 Gold Variant – this came out int he mid-1990’s was limited to around 1,000 copies and it is a gold virgin. The tick show on Amazon is great and the 1990’s animated series was
amazing $20 and up
9. Turok the Dinosaur Hunter #1 Gold Variant – for an early 1990’s retailer only variant this is so cheap. I believe Turok is from when the industry died in the 1990s. So maybe that’s why this is so cheap $5-10
10. X-Men #14-15 – first Sentinels. The Sentinels have been mentioned on the gifted a lot. Could we see live action Sentinels on TV? Snag the grades you can afford $25 and up
11. Uncanny X-Men #320 Gold Variant – this came polybagged with an issue of Wizard magazine. Legionquest chapter, Legion TV show, I would love to see a Legion/The Gifted show FX and Fox could crossover maybe?
12. X-Men Phoenix Warsong #1-5 – the Phoenix is becoming a movie star (finally for real). The reason I like this mini series is it features the origins of the Stepford Coo Coos. The White Queen, Emma Frost’s girls. I love this group they would be great for The Gifted most are in dollar boxes
13. Batman #608 Adult Coloring Book Variant – can someone explain the adult coloring book craze? I don’t get it. The first appearance of Hush, a modern classic, by Loeb and Lee, in all it’s black and white glory cover price to $10 for now
14. Batwoman #17 – New 52 Maggie and Kate get engaged. Will the Supergirl tv show do what the comics couldn’t and let Maggie Sawyer get married to Alex Danvers? OK, Alex is the tv equivalent to Kate
Kane but the regular cover is cheap and a safe bet $2-5
15. Tales to Astonish #77 – Namor takes the thrown of Atlantis from Krang. My favorite comic book based animated cartoon of all time is based on this. It is just a cool piece of Namor history $10 and up
16. Brave and the Bold #50 – Silver Age series featuring Green Arrow and the Martian Manhunter team up. Can’t wait to see the Earth X crossover episodes, but until then, classic Brave and the Bold comics will do. Green Arrow had a lot of team ups in the silver age. $20 and up
17. Brave and the Bold #71 – Batman and the Green Arrow teaming up. Cool and cheap, plus the cartoon is a blast to watch. Low grades are under $20 so just buy, read, and enjoy
18. Youngblood Bloodsport #1-2 – Youngblood, Mark Millar, Rob Liefeld, whats not to love? Mark Millar is the greatest comic book creator of all time, my two cents. Millar is #awesomesauce this two issue
series needs more love $5-10
19. Green Lantern #47 (Volume 3) – nothing all that special about this issue. I just like it because it is cheap and is sandwiched between two key 1990s events, the Reign of the Supermen and Emerald Twilight and had editioral interference. The unedited script used to be on a website. This book is only $1-3 and maybe the Green Lantern shows up in the JLA movie, as rumors suggest, and sparks a Green Lantern.
20. Uncanny X-Men #139 – Kitty Pryde joins the team and gets her first costume. I want big things to happen for Kitty including, of course, cosplay love $20 and up
21. X-Men #25 Gold Variant (Second Series) – Fatal Attractions storyline, Magento pulls the metal out of Wolverine black and white cover with gold hologram. This is a great investment as I believe the next nitch to explode will be the gold and plattum editions from the 1990’s. Look at Venom Lethal Protector and Gambit mini #1 now compared to six months ago. What a difference with the right news and interest. Skies the limit
Well, once again, thank you all for everything. I love you all. Thank you for being the greatest blessing in my life

Still not down with Millar as “the greatest of all time”, Adam.
Haha…. he’ll come around one day to realize Millar is not the greatest! 😉
Love the Coo Coos!
Stocked up on high grade copies of NM #86 a couple of years ago. Should see a slow and steady increase as Deadpool 2 gets closer.
