Dark Nights #4 is out this Wednesday. The series has been great and has had some big moments already, in the main series and in the spin-off issues. Issue #4 is no different. It features some returning characters that haven’t been seen in a while, also some character changes. The spoilers are protected behind the spoiler warnings. The accompanying text is not redacted, so read on only if you do not mind spoilers.
In Metal #4, we catch up with the Justice League. Batman and Superman in the dark universe and having both have aged. Wonder Woman, Dr. Fate, and Kendra (former Hawkgirl), looking for Hawkman’s mace. Aquaman (accompanied by Deathstroke) looking for Nth metal. Green Lantern and Mr. Terrific in space also looking for the Nth Metal.
So we pick up with Batman, who has being confronted by a multiverse of Supermen. He has made himself a pretty cool weapon.
He also gives it a pretty wicked name.
We get the return of one of the Justice League’s earliest enemies.
And our first transformation, Kendra (former Hawkgirl)
We also find out more about some of the “elders” and their intentions. They are helping Barbatos.
And our big return/transformation:
There you have it, an overall good issue again.

This issue looks packed and freaking awesome!
5 or 4
It is #4. Thanks for the catch. Working at 1 am isn’t working
Im more of a night owl… But it doesnt help being up all day first 😉
That’s my problem. Usually I get up at 6 am and don’t go to bed until 1-2. Lately though I have been passing out at like 8 PM which is killing me and my productivity.
Damn @ that Hawkman and Hawkgril design. Awesome.
Yeah. I really like Hawkgirl’s design.
Not the knock the rest of the book but all I could think of with that new weapon was Infinity Gauntlet. Colored stones, gauntlet.. they couldn’t have come up with something that didn’t sort of rip off Marvel?
I thought of the infinity gauntlet too.
It seems more like a sort of a trolling to me. I don’t get that, as well as I didn’t get that Game of Thrones reference (Jon Snow Nightwing) in Metal #3.
Looks like another good issue.
