Walking Dead #175 Set (Bill Sienkiewicz and Regular Cover)


Walking Dead #175 starts a promising new story arch called New World Order. We mentioned this a couple of days ago because artist Bill Sienkiewicz is doing character covers for the series.
Rick is featured on the first character cover out by Sienkiewicz. Skybound does not really release solicitations for Walking Dead issues, so not much has been released about the story.  Jesse James comics are selling sets of Walking Dead #175 for $9.99 shipped. This isn’t bad considering the books are $4 each cover price.  The books ship to shops on January 3rd.
Michonne is featured on Walking Dead #176 which is out in February.

    1. The cover price for Walking Dead 175 increases from $2.99 to $3.99. Looks like all Image books will soon be $3.99. With that being said, it is still cheaper for me to order from Jesse James than from Midtown as shipping works out to be $1.99.

      2. Most of their books already are $3.99. It’s Walking Dead, Saga and a few other long running series with 50k+ print runs each month that are $2.99. Seems like a cash grab to me then.. unless they got a bump in materials cost.
        Really can’t complain about Marvel’s price tag now, at least they include a free digital copy with most of their books.

  2. …have to agree. I’m probably going to dump this subscription as it’s not worth the increase to $4 for shitty art and redundant storyline.

    1. I’ve already committed to cutting back myself. These are not being as spec worthy now as they once were. I’ve mentioned it before but I think it’s time Kirkman starts writing an ending… and yes, the art is not as it once was, especially the cover art.

      1. I’m not going to say it’s shitty but it’s not as good as it once was. The cover art has definitely gone downhill since around issue 100..

  3. Not a fan of Bill Sienkewicz anymore . His style and quality has taken a huge dip since the New Mutants days .

  5. I’ll wait for the ASM 300 homage cover. Or a venomized rick cover. 1:25 variant of course.

    1. Mmmm… love me some ASM 300 homage cover.. in fact, every comic should adorn such a cover from this day forward, nothing but ASM 300 homage covers..

  6. I’ll probably start trade waiting again after this arc or depending on how much I like it #200. Either way my day’s of buying single issues are almost over……unless something major happens.

  7. Wow that regular cover really looks like shit. I’m guessing that the $1 cover price hike was because Image had to give Disney a kickback to use stormtroopers
