Doomsday Clock #2 is in stores tomorrow. It continues the crossover between the world of the Watchmen an the DC universe. The first issue was chock full of spoilers, so is Doomsday Clock #2. First up, we see Marionette and Mime in costume, originally in a flashback. In the flashback, the pair are robbing a bank and it is not going well.
The back manager is none to pleased.
Marionette takes action but….
Realizes she has made a mistake.
A familiar hero steps in to stop it. Perviness ensues. (Kind of funny social commentary on all that is going on perhaps.) This sets up a plot thread that they may have a history.
We find out a bit about why Dr. Manhattan has his familiar blue skin.
We get our first glimpse at Batman in the story.
And a bit about his place in the Universe.
Rorschach rebels. We get a name (sorry it is cut off) Is this the real name of the new Rorschach or a bit about his motivation.
We find out that there are two very different (yet oddly similar) worlds that are being crossed over.
We get a meeting between Rorschach and a DC Hero.
And the big reveal… Is DC rewriting Watchmen history?

If Dr. M can create an entire universe…who says he can’t bring the dead back?
Too true but it undermines the basis for which Watchmen the series was founded on. If he can do that, why didn’t he do it earlier to avoid what was coming. After all, he is in all places in the timeline at one time. But then again, he never was about changing what was to be, just setting it into motion.
Walden vs Walden Two
I love literary references.
