Each week, hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 3/7/18:
Big week this week. Lot’s of good books.
The “Buy Only One” Because it is Kirkman
Oblivion Song #1 – Not much to say on this one, print run will be massive. I did enjoy reading the preview copy. But the print run will be huge.
The One With The Walking and The Dead
Walking Dead #177 – Really Enjoying the new storyline. If you have fallen off the series it is a good time to jump back on.
Small Press Gems
Call of the Suicide Forest #2 (available on eBay) – Listings for this one are in the $12 range already. Smaller print run than issue one and will be harder to find.
Ballad of Sang #1 – I really like the sounds of this story, kidnapped child raised as an assassin. Might order the ComicsPro variant for myself. I do like Ed Brisson’s work.
The Big Gun Picks of the Week
Amazing Spider-Man 797 (available on eBay) – With the regular cover already selling for $12, how can you pass this one up. Will the Red Goblin appear, we will have the spoilers for that later, but ASM has been on fire as of late. Grab a couple of copies for the quick flip but keep one back for the long haul.
Amazing Spiderman #795 Second Print (available on eBay) – Again, sold out online and selling for $12. Can’t pass up a flip with the work already done for you.
The Pick of the Week
Rick and Morty Presents: The Vindicators One Shot (available on eBay) – First appearance of Pickle Rick. Popular character that finally makes it over to comics. Grab a couple cause this will pop.
That is it this week, and in case you haven’t checked it out, here is this week’s New Comic Spec Review Video for 3/7/18:
