Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Coming To Netflix

Writer, and Chief Creative Officer at Archie Comics, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa let loose on his Twitter that the upcoming Sabrina TV show on Netflix will be Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
First appearing in Afterlife with Archie #6, which are selling on eBay for as low as $4 for the regular and Pepoy variant, the Afterlife with Archie #666 SDCC variant is selling for much higher with only two copies currently on eBay. She then moved on to her own series with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #1, the series the streaming show will be based off.

    1. Netflix is huge. I’m so many homes. People gobble up their shows. Could have potential. The SDCC book will be the one to get. I got a copy years ago and glad I did. Go with cover A or B on Afterlife and Sabrina if you can get cheap.

  1. Perfect timing. I have a #1 midtown variant edition 9.8 coming back from CGC

    1. I have a 9.8 Midtown I bought off eBay a while ago for $19. I always look for cheap slabs and that was one of them. Oddly also got a Black #1 CHU Variant for $19 shipped. Someone has one listed for over $200 now.

  2. Anthony, I think we talked about this last October or so. It seems vaguely familiar. Or maybe it’s déjà vu!

  3. I hope this means a boost for Chilling Adventures in Sorcery #1 (1972) too!

  4. shouldn’t sabrina the teenage witch #1 from 1971 go up?? does she have anything to do with this?? I’m not sure.

    1. I would imagine Archie’s Funhouse #22 and the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch could see a bump. But since the character in the tv show will be based off the darker, Chilling adventures and Afterlife with Archie version, these would be the better (and cheaper) gamble.

  5. Lol I have all of these. All the covers. I’m a big fan of afterlife and chilling adventures. I have every cover of every issue. The Seeley variants signed by Seeley.
Got the demonomicon issue for $20 shipped when it came out. Looks like it’s time to cash in!!!

  6. LOL. Between Dec 2014 and Oct 2017, only 8 issues Chilling Adventures of Sabrina have been published. Of those, the two most recent were parts 1 & 2 of a six-part storyline.
    Killerwit is not impressed. 😉

    1. I mean, what do I look like? A Hillbilly?
      …Hey, that was rhetorical!

      1. Post a pic, I know what Hillbilly’s look like. Everyone on my dad’s side is from Eastern Tennessee so I spot a hillbilly from miles away! 🙂

    2. Yeah, I jumped off the Afterlife bandwagon and never jumped on the bandwagon with Sabrina.

      1. Whether they ever go up in price or not, they’re a good read. The art style is quite creepy. Check out Issue #2 with Madam Satan

        1. Great read.. yes. But the delays are also story killers. I might read them one day though, maybe when they’re finally finished printing all the issues and create an Omnibus of them all. Maybe then I’ll read them to my great great grandchildren. 🙂

  7. This is cool and I’m looking forward to the series. But I wish Sacasa would get back to writing Afterlife and Sabrina.
Unfortunately hes gone hollywood and is heavily involved in the shows.

    1. Working on TV shows banks these people way more money. I can’t blame comic book writers and creators for working less on comics and more on shows/movies.

  8. Picked up 8 copies of #1, various covers, for $1 each today at a FCBD sale. I’m good to go

    1. Nice. I didn’t look for them. Picked up 3 copies of Excalibur #86 and 3 copies of Failsafe #1 all for $1 each. Gonna make a nice flip off that $6

      1. Just grabbed The Mall Comicspro ashcan on ebay for $10. There’s signed ones in the Solar Flare online shop for $5, but I’d prefer unsigned just in case slabbing is warranted down the road

  9. Wow I wish my comic shop had these books for $1. I wish there was one around me with more boxes to search.
