  1. A couple errors in the lists reasons.
For the Rags you have the sales information for Rags #1 regular cover. Your reason however is for the Rags #1 virgin variant. The virgin had only 200 printed and the average sale price for that comic is significantly higher than 38$
The reason for X-Men Legacy 214 getting a sales boost is because the comic features the 1st app of Ms. Sinister and she is rumoured to appear in the next X-Men movie.
    😉

  2. Yeah a couple errors in the reasons list.
1 – X-Men Legacy has shown spikes in ales due to it being the 1st Miss Sinister and she was rumoured to appear in the next X-Men movie.
2 – The RAGS listed in the regular A cover with an average sale of 39$ when the reason provided is for the Virgin variant for whitch 200 copies were made only and is selling for significantly more than 39$ on average.
    😉

  3. Apparently Marvel is selling off 100s of different books incentive variants 1:10-1:100 from the past couple years at cover to retailers. Stuff like this will make you second guess ever buying a incentive variant for more than cover.

    1. If true it doesn’t surprise me. Marvel comics has been poorly run for well over a decade.

    2. If I get a Marvel variant at cover my own rule now is sell immediately. Never hold for too long.

      1. Very true… One of the few variants I have gotten over the past few years that I will hold long term is first Dr. Aphra. There are a handful more, but I think that one is going to be pretty big someday.

    3. There was actually about 500 different various ratio variants offered initially .. at half off cover ..
This should come as no surprise .. what do you think the Publishers do with the variants that are left over .. ?? Trash them .. ?? Of course not ..

  4. Nothing to do with the list above and no idea if Anthony is writing this up soon (sorry if you are) but a new meaty rumor of a Dark Avengers script being complete and ready for potential production are starting to surface by more than one source. Dark Avengers #1 2009 first appearance of the group plus first Iron Patriot. Issue #1 plus variants of #1 are selling fast right now. Just saying.

      1. If the authors are smart that’s what they are doing ;)….Still some cheap-ish copies on Amazon. I always say Amazon is a crap shoot, but sometimes everything works out.

      1. Who is writing the article in question on Dark Avengers. I do hit my local honey hole for copies but my posts can be up for weeks and I can still find copies.

    1. Another reason why I really feel phase 4 of MCU will the secrer invasion.
The Dark Avengers was a by product of said invasion on the comics.
      Secret Invasion variant sets anyone?

      1. It will be the follow up to Avengers infinity wars what’s left of the team will be Hawkeye, War Machine doubt they use Norman Osborn since they already did Rhodes as Iron Patriot InThe Ironman movie. I’m sure everyone already has Dark Avengers #1 2009 wrote it up a long time ago and you should already have from the Ironman flick.

      2. Who knows how Marvel Cinematic will do it. Do they use current surviving members or do they bring in some new blood? Do they bring in Osborn as a new Tony Stark type only to be a Skrull down the line? Will be fun guessing “if” they do indeed go the way of secret invasion. I think most people already have Dark Avengers #1, but most probably didn’t get the variants. They were still as low as $5 for the Midtown version yesterday. Amazon had a bunch. I picked up a couple and hope others on here got to them before they sold out or the prices got raised.

      3. Hopefully, this mean Sentry will be given a look.. complicated character, but very intriguing.

      1. I found a whole run for $15 + free shipping another 1-8 + first Sentry books for $12 + free shipping.

      2. @ Alana. With those cheap prices and free shipping to Hawaii, those sellers are paying to give you those books.
