Kickstarter Spotlight Magnus the Brave

I love supporting small press comics, especially those that are crowd-funded. These tend to be labors of love and creators that really want to get their vision out to the public. They can also be a great place for spec, not all of course, but books like Stabbity Bunny, White Widow, Dollface, and many others have had Kickstarter editions that went on to be great flips. Here is one that is a total labor of love and from a CHU reader, Chris Rau, called Magnus the Brave.

Magnus the Brave is billed as a bloody fun comic adventure. I had a chance to read Magnus and enjoyed it. I would recommend it for fans of Headlopper or Skullkickers, fun, violent comics, not overly pretentious, but deliver what is promised.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Magnus is the barbarian chief of a sleepy mountain village.  As long as he can remember, he has been able to reach a god-like level of berzerker-rage in battle.  The comic begins with Magnus on a journey to discover the source and purpose of this power.  Along the way, Magnus encounters a number of colorful allies, faces unspeakable foes, liberates cities, travels to the underworld, and learns the secret of his mysterious parents.
THE KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN
Magnus The Brave issue 1 exploded on Kickstarter, exceeding its production goal in less than 6 hours.  Currently, the project is 200% funded.
