The Runners-up:
#11
AQUAMAN #2(DC, 2011) is moving thanks to rumors of The Trench being the focus of the next Aquaman film. Speculation then led to the Trench King being in that film, whose first appearance is in this book. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day Trend of 400% and had a high sale of $59 for a CGC 9.8.
#12
HIT-MONKEY #1 (Marvel, 2010) The somewhat official 1st appearance of Hit-Monkey. It sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 204% and had a high sale of $60 for a raw copy.
#13
Batman Damned #1 (DC, 2018) We won’t say this is gone yet, but it’s still staying close. It sold 45 copies, had a 7-day trend of 104% and had a high sale of $199.99 for a CGC 9.9. The amount of 10.0 and 9.9’s for this book is staggering. Hence, why the value is so low for them.
#14
SPAWN #1 (IMAGE, 1992) is still moving thanks to the Spawn film in development. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 122% and had a high sale of $135 for a CGC 9.8.
#15
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 (Marvel, 1992) Collectors are getting ready for more Carnage news. It sold 39 copies, had a 7-day trend of 104% and had a high sale of $399 for a CGC 9.8.
#16
Spawn #293 Black and White C Cover Error/ Misprint (Image, 2019) took a price dip and has been muddied by the corrected version hitting the market this week. It sold 43 copies, had a 7-day trend of 85% and had a high sale of $25 for a raw copy.
#17
HOWARD THE DUCK #15 (Marvel, 1977) features the first appearance of Dr. Bong, rumored villain for the Howard the Duck Hulu show. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day-trend of 109% and had a high sale of $100 for a CGC 9.8.
#18
THE DEVILS #1 (Antarctic Press, 2019) is the latest hot new book from Antarctic Press, who has been getting plenty of attention since RAGS released. There’s some speculation rumor of possible content options, but nothing is confirmed. It sold 39 copies, had a 7-day trend of 85% and had a high sale of $18.04 for a raw copy.
#19
GIANT-SIZE CREATURES #1 (Marvel, 1974) is the first appearance of Tigra, who will co-star with Dazzler in a new animated show for Hulu. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 144% and had a high sale of $320 for a CGC 9.4.
#20
THE IMMORTAL HULK #10 (Marvel, 2018) is another hot Immortal Hulk book that’s getting attention. Such a great storyline! It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 120% and had a high sale of $10 for a raw copy.
I want Ashley simpson to voice the dazzler in the animated series.might want to pick up the howard the duck #1. lee Thompson to voice bev. int he show .I think the real money is in the hit monkey action figure .and inmortal hulk is #awesomesauce as is the batman damned #1 bat wang in the thang love ya all blind adam out and don’t hate the player hate the game #testify
No one has seen or heard of Ashley Simpson for the last ten years. Im pretty sure she went to die under the rock that she originally came out of, after she was exposed as being a complete hack.
I was able to find Aquaman #2 for $6 and Howard the Duck #15 for $4 in a high grade copy. Those two are still out there at good prices. Giant size Creatures was already a $30 to $40 book in mid grade so not seeing a whole lot of room for growth. Maybe pick it up for the PC but that’s about it. At least for me.
any OLD GUARD news lately??
I thought about that book this week as well. What’s it been like 2 years?
There’s some new casting news for the Netflix show I think.. which is causing some movement possibly on the book again.
I am writing it up tonight.
Well I’ve got 3 on this list..all Immortal Hulk related..not too bad
Also, that First IH appearance is cheaper CGC than the IH #12 CGC?..even though the Raw prices are the opposite way. Interesting
I have 9/20 all the non moderns.
Tigra appears first In Beware the Claws of the cat 2 years previously without the super-abilities as the cat..
I have both books to cover the bases.
Found a stash of Aquaman #2 last week…all being NM- to VF/NM, but been turning them around for a small profit this week.
My Harley Quinn 58 has been sitting at $11.48 with shipping for 3 days now. 138 views. Average selling price is $9 or less with shipping if you’re lucky. The regular cover still at retail plus shipping. Retailers are starting to get an edge on individuals and squeeze us out of the market with popular titles. They can sell theirs all day at 40-50% margins and lower their shipping costs and still squeeze individual sellers out.
What about Moon Knight 25 ?? Why is it selling so much? Any rumors? I guess Eventually he will be introduced in a movie or tv show? I might grab a CGC 9.8 copy, there is a cheap copy for 450
Moon Knight #25 has always commanded a bit of extra cash. It is the 1st Appearance of Black Spectre and is one of those HTF books in NM b/c of the black cover.
Bill Sienkiewicz classic cover in black. Hard to find in Nm. Beautiful work by him when he was in his hay day.
