  1. Looks great. Maybe I’m in the minority but Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor despite his qwerks. I think he’ll pull it off.

      1. That’s what I’m getting from it. I think The Joker is one character we truly have no real history on his past, what made him who he is.

  2. Looks amazing to me. If this trailer represents the tone of the actual film…count me IN.

  3. I like what I saw I really enjoy when comic book movies have a real world tone to it like DK trilogy so this looks like that I think I Will enjoyed a lot.

  4. Wonder if he will morph into Leto’s Joker at the end? That would be craptacular!

    1. I’m thinking he might become the Ledger Joker. Or they retcon Leto out of continuity and he becomes the current one.

      1. I’m thinking the same thing. He becomes the original Joker, and Leto was the replacement. The age of Bruce Wayne here lines up with the Affleck Batman.

  5. Flick looks well shot, directed, and acted, but what’s the point of it? Two hours of watching a guy slowly go crazy? That’s it? Haven’t we already seen this same plot before in countless other films that seem to have a bit more to say? The Shining, Black Swan, Donnie Darko, Taxi Driver, Fight Club, Antichrist.

  6. The joker most people know is just a wack job who gets off messing with Batman’s head. If this movie can separate Batman from the equation and provide a window into jokers psyche, a movie which looks through his eyes and takes a walk in his shoes for a moment, and convince the audience that maybe it isn’t joker who’s mad, but society is what is truly mad when youre looking from the outside of it….and actually feel compassion for him….then it’ll be a great movie.

We will see if it can pull it off. I like what I see so far.

  7. Im looking forward to it, but Im not feeling the blue make up around his eyes in that last shot.

  8. Wow, that actually looks incredible.
My only question is did we just see half the movie?

  9. This looks amazing. It will be the 1st comic book movie to win best picture or best actor. I’m not sure why some of you are hating on this.

  10. I agree 1000% with Brione. It looks insanely incredible. I love the clown make up Phoenix will be amazing.
He got so skinny!!! This looks like Ledger will be kicked off the top of the Joker heap with this movie. I didn’t like the Ledger Joker. I rank his Joker 3rd, behind Romero and Jack. I hated the cuts on his mouth and how that’s then how they started drawing him in the title. Sucked! I have been collecting Bats for 35 years and this is what we have been waiting for, insight on the Joker and who he is. The only thing I don’t care for is that they name him Arthur Fleck. That sucks. The Tim Burton movie established him as Jack Napier. Then DC releases Batman: White Knight where he is Jack Napier. Now DC is breaking continuity and naming him Art Fleck. That part I do not like at all because I have been buying the Batman Movie (1989) books for cheap because of the name spec. Damn you DC!!!!!!!! I think DC may actually get this movie right. I can’t wait to see it.

    1. I never watch trailers or recommend people watch them and I can’t stop watching this trailer and am texting all of my friends to watch it. Never ever ever ever have I done such a thing because I think most action/comic movies are complete CGI garbage. I don’t mind the MCU. That is at least fun. This will be dark and creepy, so good!!

  11. All I see is the Joker getting his ass kicked over and over again.

Ok I get that he can slowly become a nut job, but crazy won’t make him a formidable foe like he is in the comics.

I like the overall look and feel of the movie, but this looks more like some clown having a few bad weeks as opposed to the crazy psycho we all know and love.

Hopefully the movie shows the moment where Joker snaps and becomes the traditional joker we know.

So far, from what I saw, this movie could have been called Dark Bozo for all I care.

    We’ll see.

    1. The Joker is a great villain because he is crazy. I never envisioned or seen the Joker as portrayed at being great at fighting or has a lot of strength. So that’s why seeing him get beat up I think is really portraying a bit of his past.

  12. Did absolutely nothing for me. But after Heath Ledger’s Joker who can touch the character now. Jared Leto’s Joker was good and promising but this one appears old and slow.
