  1. Is there any spec here or do you think the Asgard armor is a throw away? Do you think a 2nd print will have the interior shot on the cover and that’d be the one to grab if so?

  2. Sorry if this is a stupid question…but that whole savage venom armour from last issue (and featured on the cover of #13 2nd print) is now gone? I’m not following savage avengers to know if this story is diverging or what the hell is going on…

        1. That’s why I dropped Venom getting too complicated. I got a few issues behind and just stopped at #12.

            What’s complicated?
1- You have Eddie Brock in issues 13, 14 and 15 with various forms of a non alien suit/armor and counting with an origin that’s easy to follow. Apparently he’s suitless again in 16 so the story arc ends at 3 issues and starts something in a new direction, probably more focused on the kid but ending up with Eddie and Goonom back together by the annual in July.

2- Ball of Goo original Venom Symbiote without a host (Goonom) captured by Maleketh in Strikeforce Avengers and bonded to a dagger in War of the Realms then used to stab Odin’s wife. What happens next is why we read but according to the cover of Savage Avengers #3 Conan gets what appears to be a Venomized Savage Sword of Conan. That could end up being a morph of what just happened to Goonom at the hands of Maleketh or a previously existing symbiote sword or maybe a 3rd option not yet explored.

The important thing here is Eddie doesn’t have a suit right now but is credited to eventually show up in Savage Avengers sometime. That implies the two must eventually get back together for that to happen. It wasn’t in Savage Avengers #1 and may not occur prior to #4. Venom Annual #1 says they’re back together in July.

Some fun possible alternatives and activities in the meantime include

Eddie finding a magical remnant inside him that lets him keep his Savage Venom Non Alien suit.

That ball of goo in the FCBD Savage Avengers gives Eddie a new suit.

Conan gets to spend some quality time as a host for Goonom.

Then there’s Carnage. We’ll learn more in July’s Web of Venom: Funeral Pyre. Last seen in the FCBD Spider-man issue pretending to be Eddie Brock and Venom, also I suspect responsible for the morphing scene on the last pages of Venom #12.

But as Carnage descends on New York, its siblings will find it impossible to resist the siren song of KNULL…

      1. Biggest Venom EVER!!!!? It was established in Giantman last week that the minimum height for a Frost Giant is 65 feet. Savage Venom grows to match the height of the Frost Giants in this issue so as far as I know, this issue features the biggest Venom ever and he’s still SAVAGE immediately biting into a Frost Giant’s neck/shoulders ripping meat away, beheading others and body spiking a 3rd!!!

He sustains heavy damage from fire and the suit morphs again into something more Asgardian armorlike.

Easily my most enjoyable read of the week. The action runs from cover to cover and sets up the next issue to finish up the 3 part story in ways hard to guess.
