Final Order Cut-Off Highlights for 5/27/19

Final Order Cut-Off is the last day that shops can guarantee their orders for comics. After Final Order Cut-Off, or FOC, these books will only be available to retailers on Advance Reorder. And that is not guaranteed. So here are the highlights for Monday, 5/27/19’s FOC list.

A little late getting this one out this week. Travel baseball and holiday tournaments will do that. Takes up the weekend and kills the writing schedule. Here we go, big week for indy books. One damn fine Marvel Star Wars cover as well.

DC

AQUAMAN #49 MIDDLETON VARIANT – I know Killer B covers are a little played out, however, I love Middleton’s work

NAOMI #6 – Final issue of the first mini-series.

Marvel

CAPTAIN MARVEL #7 MCKONE SPIDER-MAN SYMBIOTE SUIT VAR and DEADPOOL #14 BROOKS SPIDER-MAN FANTASTIC VAR  – Cheesy as it is, I do like some of Marvel’s theme covers, especially ones showcasing Spider-Man’s suits.

HOWARD THE DUCK #1 FACSIMILE EDITION – Not much to say other than Howard the Duck’s first issue reprinted completely including ads.

Star Wars #67 (Sienkiewicz Variant) – Bill Sienkiewicz covers the Princess for this issue of Star Wars. Incredible. Popular cover artist plus much believed character equals a potential winner.

Indy/Image

DARK AGE #1 – Finally, Don Handfield’s new series is coming out. Handfield has several books including The Source and The Mall (written with James Haick) both optioned. Do not be surprised to see this one optioned as well. There is also a 1:10 ratio variant on this.

Canto #1 – Canto’s adventure begins! Enslaved for generations, Canto’s people once had hearts. Now they have clocks. When slavers damage a little tin girl’s clock beyond repair, Canto must brave his strange and fantastic world to bring back her heart. Can he overcome the dangers that await to save the one he loves? An all-ages fable inspired by Wizard of Oz and Dante’s Inferno. Part fantasy. Part adventure. All heart.

TMNT 35TH ANNIVERSARY BOX SET – Man, Turtles 1-4 (which I have the originals of) plus the Raphael Microseries (never got this one) reprinted in their original size.

USAGI YOJIMBO #1 – Stan Sakai’s classic Rabbit Samurai returns

CROW HACK SLASH #1 – Casey Hack kills undead murderers and slashers. Crow is a back from the dead man out for revenge. The cross paths for the first time.

ALIENS RESCUE #2 – I love Aliens. The recent mini-series have been awesome with some great covers. Like this one, man…

NARCOS #1 – Netflix series tie in

RED SONJA VAMPIRELLA BETTY VERONICA #2 CVR B HACK – Oh my god this cover, looking like a classic TV Guide page is just awesome.

        1. Yeah man. Just on break. We are coming up on the end of our baseball season, lots of tournaments, double headers, and road games, so they will be back. Hopefully next week.

  1. The Aliens minis have been some of my favourite reads as of late. And I agree, the cover art had been stellar.
