Reports are coming in that Kit Harington has been cast as Black Knight, in the upcoming Eternals film.
I first read this on our forums (thanks Alana) and then confirmed by Hollywood Life. Others might of been first but I’m giving credit where I first read the news.
Avengers #47 and issue #48 is definitely nice books to own or grab now while they’re still a bit lower as these are the first Black Knight books for Dane Whitman, which this character will likely portray as there have been several Black Knights.
I would say issue #48 is the more desirable out of the two as it’s the issue Dane becomes Black Knight. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe issue #47 is just as himself.
Now we just need Jaime Lannister as Adam Warlock, and Cersei Lannister as Amora the Enchantress, even Ned Stark as Knull.
yeah i wouldn’t mind a bunch more GoT alumni showing up in eternals. we’ve got two now, plenty of room for more!
47 is first Dane Whitman, which is what they announced kit playing. I assume he’ll become the black knight but maybe not right away. I think 47 is the big one, just look at 1st Carol Danvers. Or better yet what’s worth more 1st Winter soldier or 1st Bucky? Checkmate!
Well, 1st Winter Soldier vs 1st Bucky kind of different ball fields.. one’s a modern while the other is a Golden Age book that also has Captain America’s first appearance as well. Not a really good comparison.
If he’s Dane Whitman though, that’s just a guaranteed he’ll be Black Knight to me, which makes Avengers #48 way more desirable. First as Black Knight and on the cover!
Also, Marvel Super-Heroes #13 lower grades still pretty affordable. Avenging Spider-Man #9 is still a decent book. But it’s hard to use that as a comparison I think as well since she’s been Ms Marvel, Warbird, Binary and now Captain Marvel.
I agree it’s a bit of uncharted waters but I think the Carol Danvers comparison is much closer than you do. We know marvel will develope the person. Dane will have the relationships, Dane will have the dialogue. BK will have the sword.
Just have to wait and see how the market reacts.. I think the market swings for Avengers #48 currently though so it’s already got a slight head start. 🙂
Agreed. I love the 48 cover but yellow covers are pretty sweet too.
And I have both #47 and #48 so bases covered. Also buy both when in doubt.

The Black Knight mini series was a very low printed r in n and had some pretty hard to find 1:25 variants.
#3 I believe is the hottest of the bunch with that cool Bradshaw variant.
I like issue #1 variant and issue #5 regular since it had no variant.
Those might be a good idea to keep an eye out for.
Awesome news and a very good casting choice! Have three sets of 47/48 and need to decide which set I am keeping. Leaning toward the NM set but could probably have a nice payday with it.
