  1. It’s about what I was expecting and has the feel of cheapening ALL X-Books for the foreseeable future with a Get out of killing them off FREE Card. It should lead to years of lazy story writing with no real ramifications from any threat to come since the worst that happens is you get to be hatched naked one issue later.

    1. I am not sure. Last issue when Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and all died Xavier was still crying. He said he still hated them dying. Even knowing that, they are still clones/not the real ones. It’s a computer that copies their brains. Not sure about the metaphysics of it but still doesn’t seem like the real ones.

    2. Is anyone really getting torn up by deaths, especially in the X-Universe? After the shit show that was Matt Rosenberg’s run in which characters were jettisoned left and right to their mortal coil, comic deaths have no shock value or lasting ramifications. And I have faith, that there will be some sort of contingency put in place for the regular title launch that will put the kibosh on this particular plotline.

      1. I would love a comic to kill a major character and then in the corner of the book, each issue, have a picture of his further rotting corpse. Very crude but would be funny as hell.

  2. It’s an interesting coming together of various powers and ability to restore the dead but I don’t like the end result. The revolving door of death and rebirth, not just within the mutant world but in the whole comic industry, is rediculous. It cheapens the whole storytelling medium it’s used in and It’s become a huge joke.

“Oh no, Captain Heroman just died to end the interdimensional invasion of the demonic hoards controlled by Doctor Mindguy. We will remember his heroic sacrifice and try to live up to his.. oh wait, he’s back. Yay!” Bleh.

DC isn’t quite as bad about it but marvel is just plain rediculous. Death should mean something or it’s a pointless gimmick that nobody really takes seriously anymore. I’m fine with it being used sparingly with a really good explanation on how it was achieved but nowadays writers don’t even bother trying to explain a character returning from the dead. They’re just there in the background or walking around like nothing happened.

It’s just gotten old, it’s tired and it’s lazy and somebody with some pull really needs to put their foot down and make some changes.

  3. Does newly hatched Wolverine have an adamantium skeleton? If so, how???

If not, when will they raid Strykers old lab and infuse Wolvie with it ?
