This book has been building up and something has to happen before it finishes the first story arc and kicks off the next one.
What book made the pick this final order cutoff? None other than Venom #20 by Donny Cates. It’s a pretty kick ass Hotz cover as well.

It’s either going to be this book or Absolute Carnage #5 (of 5) where we might see the true power of Dylan revealed. This Absolute Carnage book does come out a week prior to Venom #20 so the big reveal I think will be saved for Venom since it’s been more focused on Dylan than the other titles.
I believe the reading order is actually Venom 20 before Absolute Carnage 5….even though the are released in reverse order. It’s been like that the whole event.
Wouldn’t surprise me if we get a “first full” in AC #5 even though His first appearance in the “story” comes a week later in Venom 20 (and maybe even a cameo at that).

Good point.. I’ve been behind in my readings. They really should fix the reading order against release dates.. hate when they do that crap!
Other point is that Venom #20 has 3 covers whereas AC 5 has a tons of covers
AC #5 is event and it’s last issue so a lot of covers is not as surprising. An issue #20 of a title with extra covers and there’s even a Dynamic Forces signed Donny Cates that was FOC a few weeks back is a bit out of the ordinary though..
I no longer order signed books from Dynamic Forces. They always take to long to release them. I ordered the Batman Who Laughs #1 signed by Snyder + surpice. And I still haven’t gotten it.

All of the Venom 20 covers art is out. AC5 has cover art not yet released, but none are “classified” covers and some (codex, cult of carnage) don’t seem to indicate a last minute first cover appearance.
I’m not sure even when his abilities are revealed they’ll be fully revealed…making any “first” spread across multiple issues…i’ll Likely be looking for the 2nd print with the Dylan symbiote-thing on the cover…whether it be Venom 20 or AC5…or both.
Meaning it’ll all come back around to Venom 7 and 9 as the true “key” books for this character…
Oh for sure…. Whatever does happen… Its likely going to make Dylans first more important but one should consider that Eddie Brock was the first to bring out Venom…. But Venoms first appearance is more valuable than Eddie Brocks first…. It’ll be interesting though on what actually happens to see the direction it leads.
I ordered a couple of the Venom 20 codexes and a couple AC 5 action figures. Im still not sure about speccing on an ability reveal. Id feel a whole lot better about it if there were a costume or hero name to go along with those abilities.
I only think it will be big if the symbiote takes over to alter his looks and he gets a new name.
Web of Venom Good Sons solicitation says ” Son of Venom”. Through out this story arc they have said Eddies Son. The change up suggests to me that Eddie finds out that it isnt his son and that because of this it kicks off venom island.
