Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Time again for hidden gems. I want to say Stranger Things is an addictive show. I watched a season and a half in a day. Love it. Harley Quinn gets better and better each and every week. Queen of Fables baby! The Crisis is ending. Superboy Prime is making a comeback. Now lets make that money with comics cause you can’t teach that.
1. JLA #47 (1997 series) First Queen of Fables. Wanda Sykes is killing it as this character on Harley Quinn. Best thing Gail Simone ever created and it is very, very cheap, like dollar to five bucks cheap, happy hunting
2. Classic X-Men #40 – with bronze age X-Men books heating up, issues 94-150 prices are spiking in all grades, I wanted to point this issue of Classic X-Men out. It is the first part to the Dark Phoenix Saga, a great comic and sadly a sh&&fest of a movie. What was up with that movie? It is also the comic will would have gotten if Will wasn’t taken by the upside down in Stranger Things. $1-10
3. Advance Dungeons and Dragons #36 – between Stranger Things, Rick and Morty, references to this classic game abound. Still can’t believe this DC series lasted 36 issues. Low print run, tough in high grade, will have to hunt tomorrow at the Clifton Comic Expo $1-10
4. Stranger Things Ashcan Preview – Pre-dates Stranger Things #1 . First true comic appearance of the gang. Why was the season 3 New Coke Burger King promo cup paper? Burger King why so cheap? So yes, the Stranger Things New Coke cup was a Burger King giveaway if you want to call a damn paper cup a giveaway? Anyway, $10-25 for the ashcan, perfect for cast signature series at conventions
5. Stranger Things #1 Walmart Exclusive – With all the buzz going on about Walmart exclusives, has anyone seen this Dark Horse Walmart Exclusive for the incredible Netflix show? It has a black and white cover, features Will and the Demigorgon on the cover, and is tough to find. $25 and up.
6. Scooby Doo Team Up #21 – I love this series. Maybe soon I will devote an entire hidden gems to the Mystery Inc gang. The Gotham Girls, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy team up with Fred Daphne, that dang cheeseburger eating dog Scooby, Shaggy, and Vemla (like who cares about Vemla?) Issue #12 had two prints and it was the first team up with Harley, this issue was over printed, but is a fun story, features Harley Quinn and would fit into the animated world. Heck here is an idea take the Queen of Fables, have her bring Scooby Doo to life, and have the Harley gang fight them. Shoot, I should have pitched that to DC Comics. This is such a great series. In issue #20, Mystery Inc teams up with Space Ghost? Anyway, this issue can be found as these types of comics do well on the secondary market, just look at Gotham Adventures and the ultra rare JLA Unlimited #41, $5-10 for this one.
I am off to Las Vegas, so have a blessed and profitable week

Been a little while! Glad to see another hidden Gems! Keep’em coming!
if you still collect back issues, there is a fantastic comic book store near UNLV that has a great inventory. I won $800 at the tables 1 night and blew it all there the next day.
what is the name of the store?is that comics oddasy?love you guys thanks for reading blind adam out
That would be Eisner Award winning comic book store:
Alternate Reality Comics
Ran by Ralph for over 25 years. He is an absolute peach and a pillar of the Vegas comic community. Definitely a store to peruse when in Vegas.
I’d like to take a time out and give Anthony a big round of applause as well for these Hidden Gem’s by Blind Adam.
Not knocking Blind Adam in any way but he uses speech to text and we all know that usually doesn’t come off as intended or correct (there’s no perfect speech to text to my knowledge yet). So Anthony spends an extreme amount of time to clean these up, decipher the speech to text blunders, etc. It’s almost a complete rewrite just to make these legible.
So give Anthony a pat on the back, he puts in a lot of work to make these Gems happen on behalf of Blind Adam.
It’s my pleasure. There are a lot of the books he talks about I go look at. The Walmart Stranger things was an awesome catch. Never seen that one.
