  1. I dearly love these stores that claim “exclusives” to a particular major convention; and ummm…. oh by the way – you can purchase them now on our website. Seems to distort the definition of “exclusive”, but then again it’s all about the sales and promotion.

My definition of exclusive – you can only get this “something” if you are in attendance

    1. Well, exclusive is defined as, “restricted or limited to the person, group, or area concerned.”

So if NY Collector Cave is the only “group” selling these, whether on their website and then at the convention, seems like it fits the exclusive category. 😉

      1. Oh and exclusive also has the definition of “an item or story published or broadcast by only one source.”

NY Collector Cave only ones selling, they’re the sole source of this product. 😉

  2. Its how it’s worded and the order of the words. It says “C2E2 Exclusive”, which means its only exclusive to the convention. It should not be available to purchase of NY Collector Cave’s website.
If it was worded ” NY Collector Cave exclusive” then yes, it should be available on their website and at the convention, and anywhere else NY Collector Cave is at.

      1. And it’s weird, cause Marvel owns the rights to Conan still but copyright law claims: “Copyright protection generally lasts for 70 years after the death of the author. If the work was a “work for hire”, then copyright persists for 120 years after creation or 95 years after publication, whichever is shorter. For works created before 1978, the copyright duration rules are complicated. However, works created before 1924 (other than sound recordings) have made their way into the public domain.”

So Robert E. Howard died in 1937 so his copyright should be in public domain but here lies the really screwed up complex copyright laws we have in America. Not don’t think his fall under the “work for hire” clause… copyright laws make my head hurt.
