Covrprice.com Runners-Up for 4/20/20

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. Think of this as the second half of the top 20.

#11 VENOM #3 (MARVEL, 2018) There have been recent unconfirmed rumors of Knull appearing in either VENOM 2 or a future film. This rumor, while a stretch, has lit a small fire under this book. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 89% and had a high sale of $119.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 (MARVEL, 1980) She-Hulk is confirmed to appear in the MCU via her Disney+ series. This continues to sell well. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 94% and had a high sale of $370 for a CGC 9.8.

#13 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011) One of the best sellers on COVRPRICE, Miles is a household name and never seems to waver on sales. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 84% and had a high sale of $435 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 THE PUNISHER #1 NEWSSTAND EDITION (MARVEL, 1987) Collectors are going back to the more affordable keys, like this first issue to the Punisher’s first ongoing solo series. It sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 133% and had a high sale of $129.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 52 #12 (DC, 2006) This is the first appearance of the new Isis, who becomes the wife of Black Adam. Rumors of this version of Isis appearing in DC’s live-action BLAC ADAM film is causing prices to increase. It sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 216% and had a high sale of $14.70 for a raw copy.

#16 THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 (MARVEL, 1992) The VENOM 2 trailer is due any day now. Collectors are preparing to see Carnage for the first time. It sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 103% and had a high sale of $384.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 X-MEN ANNUAL #14 (MARVEL, 1990) This first appearance of Gambit is increasing as rumors continue to circulate of the Ragin Cajun getting his own Disney+ series. It sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 109% and had a high sale of $110 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 WEREWOLF BY NIGHT #32 (MARVEL, 1975) Like many of this week’s runner ups, Moon Knight is coming to Disney +. Fans (like us) are itching to see him in live-action for the first time. This sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 125% and had a high sale of $1,952 for a CGC 9.2.

#19 MOON KNIGHT #1 (MARVEL, 1980) Yep, more Moon Knight! This first issue to his on-going series sold 10 copies, had a 7-day trend of 112% and had a high sale of $207 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 STAR WARS #1 (MARVEL, 1977) With all the Star Wars back-issue heat, it makes sense that this original first issue should trend as well. It sold 10 copies, had a 7-day trend of 249% and had a high sale of $1080 for a CGC 9.8.

  1. First time in a looong time I have gone ten for ten! I will say this, if Knull ever becomes a big baddie on the big screen I think the third print will be the big winner. I know it is a reprint but those are all the rage these days. Add a low print run and Knull on the cover and you have the perfect storm for far more demand than copies for sale! The ratio variant is definitely one to watch as well. I do really like the A cover though (wish I bought more when it was first released). If rumors hold true issue three of Venom could turn out to be a huge key down the road. Will be fun to see where it goes. Glad to see the original Punisher on the list! 80’s keys are going to get bigger and bigger in the coming decade, especially 1980’s Marvel key’s, in my opinion.

    1. He and God will be the Thor 4 villain and everyone will want the God of Thunder books instead.

        1. I really hope so…Was looking through my Thor’s the other day and didn’t realize I have half a dozen God of Thunder #2 (including a 2nd). Forgot I picked up a few extra to spec on when they were still cheap-ish before they started taking off.

          1. Can someone help me out, where, if at all, does Knull appear in God of Thunder #6? Granted, I’m not too hip to Thor and his nonsense, but I don’t see one appearance in that issue. I say the only GoT key in the long run will be 2, maybe 25 for Jane Thor. I could see Gorr being the villain but I don’t for one second believe Dario whatshisface will be.

    2. Not not is the 3rd print somewhat scarce, Marvel reprints haven’t arrived in the greatest condition. May be tough to find in 9.8.

Raws NMs are creeping up on $100. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a good deal on one of these for a while now…but NM+ copies don’t show up often and the price has just keeps going up.

I grabbed so many of the cover As…before Knull really took off they were still on the stand….sold many NM+ copies and will
Likely have to settle on the two I held on to.

  2. nice tosee punisher keys on the list.been in cheap boxes for years.the 3rd&4th&sdcc venom #3 will be kicking major butt if he appers on screen and if done right maybe in venom 3 as we now have a big screen carnage so maybe by venom 4 they can adapt absult carnage #testify blind adam out

  3. I hate with all the back issue lists, its only CGC high sales not raw high sells….weres that info?
