I don’t know about the rest of you all but as I was browsing FOC books for this Monday, I ran across this Jaws Movie Poster Statue that is pretty damn awesome if you ask me of the iconic movie poster I think a huge majority of the world would be able to identify when seen.
It’s a movie poster. No, it’s a statue. Actually, it’s both! Inspired by the iconic movie poster for the 1975 thriller Jaws, this Jaws Movie Poster Statue measures approximately 12-inches tall x 8-inches wide x 5-inches long.
Highly detailed, it features a blue translucent look with Bruce the shark about to attack the unsuspecting swimmer on the top.
So for all you Jaws fans out there (this movie is like Shawshank Redemption for me, it never gets old), add this to your pre-ordering this week cause FOC for this is on Monday. Previews claims a release date of January of 2021 while Entertainment Earth claims October 2020 (which is subject to change).. Let’s just hope it arrives sooner rather than later.
That is cool I’ll get it for Christmas for my soon to be 10yo there was about a year that all she would watch was Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3D when she was 5.
I just didnt like how small it was…so I passed. Good desighn tho.
It’s 12 inches tall… I don’t think most would want a statue like this any bigger.. at least I wouldn’t. It’s perfect for the bookcase or desk..
24in would be ok look like a cereal box.
2 feet high cereal box? Thats a huge box of cereal….
Sam’s Club Special
What’s all this talk of boxes? You guys too good for us generic bag o’cereal folks!? Huh!?
The woman has on a bikini. Chrissy was skinny-dipping in the film, and on the poster, too. It’s a minor, but important, detail. Going to pass on this one.
They’re keeping it work PG13 safe then.. not a big deal if you ask me.. A lot of the original movie posters used in other countries show the women with bikini’s on. I always figured they created/inspired the poster after yes, the opening scene but it’s more of a generalization for the overall horror of the film, rather than depicting just that opening scene.
We could also argue that the shark looks like a Megalodon due to his size.. cause the shark wasn’t that big in the movie either.. another minor but important detail… 😉
Hooper- “Mr. Vaughn , Take a good long look at this billboard, the proportions are correct.” Mayor Vaughn – ” Youd like to prove that , wouldn’t ya? Get your name in the National Geographic.”
Haha.. 🙂
