The newest season of the popular multi-platform game Fortnite introduced a lot of Marvel heroes to the latest season. Groot, Thor, She-Hulk, Wolverine, and others have made their way into game play. Now Marvel is introducing Fortnite to the Marvel Universe, starting with a one per store Fortnite Variant of Black Widow
In one of those cross-media deals I love so much, Black Widow #1 has a Surprise Fortnite Variant (pictured below) being distributed to retailers. Black Widow #1 was massively delayed due to the Covid pandemic, but finally is released this week.
Copies of Black Widow #1 Fortnite Variant are being listed as a surprise variant on eBay.
Other then saying Fortnite on the cover what makes this cover have anything to do with Fortnite ?
The female character in the back is the Bright Bomber skin from Fortnite I believe.
So is that Black Widow in the Fortnite “skin” or is she not on the cover of her own book? It’s sad enough Cap A takes up 3/4 of HER cover, but if she was omitted, then that’s even sadder. And I confess to not knowing much about Fortnite.

This is the same cover as the Captain America Fortnite variant. What does it have to do with Black Widow?
They tried to rush it out before Apple blocked Fortnite’s and Epic games developer license so now all that Marvel update players on Apple won’t get to see or use meaning Epic probably going to lose a lot of money for those Marvel rights they have with no way of selling or releasing the pricey content they paid for the rights too. The cover should say I paid millions of dollars and all I got was this crappy cover.
