#11 PREDATOR #1 (DARK HORSE, 1989) Deadline is reporting that “20th Century Studios has engaged 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg to direct the fifth installment in the Predator series. The script is being written by Patrick Aison, whose producer-writer credits include the series Kingdom, Jack Ryan and Treadstone.” This pushed this first appearance to a big new high of $775 for a CGC 9.8. It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 121%.
#12 SLEEPWALKER #1A (MARVEL, 1911) The second DARKHAWK got hot, the running joke among collectors was that IF Darkhawk should get hot, why not Sleepwalker (a joke on these two mostly ignored characters since the ’90s)? Well, it looks like some buyers took those joke-based mentions seriously and raced to eBay to buy a copy, selling 41 copies, had a 7-day trend of 154% and had a high sale of $109.95 for a CGC 9.8. Amazing.
#13 STRANGE ACADEMY #1 5TH PRINT (MARVEL, 2020) Man, Strange Academy is SO hot. It’s still an amazing seller and this B&W 5th print follows in suit. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 180% and had a high sale of $16.95 for a raw copy.
#14 STAR WARS DARTH VADER #6 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2020) Ochi Sith Assassin’s first appearance is in the 1st print of this issue. However, this cover marks his first cover appearance as well. As seen with Kamala Kahn, a 2nd print cover appearance can do amazing things market-wise. It sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 154% and had a high sale of $15 for a raw copy.
#15 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #257 (MARVEL, 1984) This issue is the first appearance of Ned Leeds as the Hobgoblin. Actor Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned in the Sony/MCY Spider-Man films, recently lost a considerable amount of weight. This has spurred speculation that Ned could possibly take on the role in the next Spider-Man film (which already seems to have A LOT going on in it). It sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 138% and had a high sale of $119.99 for a CGC 9.8.
#16 DMZ #1 (VERTIGO, 2005) Entertainment Weekly is reporting that “Rosario Dawson, Ava DuVernay team up for DMZ comic adaptation on HBO Max”. This fantastic series is especially poignant in today’s political climate. Sales are up for both this first issue and the convention variant. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 188% and had a high sale of $99.99 for a CGC 9.6.
#17 MOON KNIGHT #1 (MARVEL, 1980) While it’s both confirmed and not confirmed, Oscar Issac’s Moon Knight is HIGHlY anticipated. Collectors continue buying up this first issue to his first solo series. It sold 30 copies, had a 7-day trend of 91% and had a high sale of $343 for a CGC 9.8.
#18 THE NEW TEEN TITAN ANNUAL #2 (DC, 1983) Deadline is reporting that the HBO Max series ‘Peacemaker’ has cast: Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland & Chris Conrad. Chris Conrad is expected to play the role of Adrian Chase, DC’s VIGILANTE. This Annual sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 135% and had a high sale of $177.50 for a CGC 9.8.
#19 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: THE LAST RONIN #1 KEVIN EASTMAN 1:10 VARIANT (IDW, 2020) If there’s a variant that should skyrocket in price, it should at least be done by the man who co-started them. Eastman’s 1:10 variant sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 106% and had a high sale of $110 for a CGC 9.8.
#20 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011) Miles really never goes too far. His first appearance sold 25 copies this week, had a 7-day trend of 91% and had a high sale of $931 for a CGC 9.8.
