Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 12/23/20

Every week, hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up Here are our picks of the week for delivery 12/23/20.

New #1’s
Picture Of Everything Else #1 – New interesting looking Vault Comics book. As the 20th century dawns, art promises to change the world…and steep it in blood. A rash of impossible killings sweep through Paris, tearing the rich and beautiful apart in their beds. When two art thieves stumble upon the portraits of the victims damaged in the exact same manner they died, it appears the man who once painted the immortal portrait of Dorian Gray has returned – with darker plans for future works.

Returning Favorites
Something Is Killing The Children #13 – the hottest horror book of the year continues. Just a great read on top of the heat. If you can find the Frany cover cheap, grab one.

For the Cover

Endless Winter Black Adam Special – I really like Bosslogic’s work and he is getting more and more cover. This is just a great depiction on Black Adam on a Killer B cover.

Red Hood #52 Skan Cover – Another Killer B cover, this time by fan favorite Skan.

Spider-Woman #7 Peach Momoko Knullified Variant – Peach-mania seems to be cooling down a bit, but this is still a great cover.

Final Issue
Gideon Falls #27 – Man, Jeff Lemire’s awesome horror book comes to an end. This oversized, high priced, final issue could scare away potential buyers for several reasons. Last issues can be a great pickup.

One to Watch
Spawn #313 – Spawn has been hot this year. The print runs are way up though. We get a first cover appearance of Plague Spawn on the McFarlane/Capullo cover as well as a first appearance of Monolith on the inside.

Indy Gem
Gutt Ghost Stabbity Bunny One Shot – two fan favorite Scout characters cross over in this one shot.

Small Press Pick of the Week
A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night #2 – first issue was awesome and shot up like crazy. Second one should have a smaller print run as most stores really didn’t get to see demand before they had to place orders.

Pick of the Week
King In Black #2 – If what I hear is true, this could be huge. But then again, no one ever stays……. See spoilers tonight.
