#10 A VOICE IN THE DARK #1 (IMAGE/TOP COW, 2013) A few weeks ago, creator Larime Taylor mentioned on his Facebook page that the pilot script was completed. There was no additional information. This update sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 243% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.

#9 <https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=IMMORTAL+HULK+%2343+homage&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=IMMORTAL+HULK+%2343+hoage”>THE IMMORTAL HULK #43 JOE BENNETT HOMAGE COVER (MARVEL, 2021) IMMORTAL HULK #43 took over our top 10 last week due to some controversy over anti-Semitic imagery. As noted, In one panel, Joe Fixit is in a Jewelry store. In the window behind him, a poor depiction of the Star of David and the store name “JEWERY” in reverse. This caused an uproar forcing Marvel to offer an optional recall where stores could exchange these for corrected versions. This held over this week and was one of two covers to stay on the list by selling 42 copies with a 7-day trend of 113% and a high sale of $45 for a raw copy.

#8 X-FORCE #1 NEGATIVE UPC W/ DEADPOOL TRADING CARD (MARVEL, 1991) Wow. Where are we? Seriously. Due to a massive print run and dominance in almost every collection traded into comic stores, X-Force was the one comic that was guaranteed to NEVER see market heat. Well, 2021 just played its hand. Recent demand and market heat surrounding Marvel trading cards brought attention and demand to the Deadpool trading card that was poly-bagged with X-Force #1. AND we were “today years old” when we gave this book any attention to realize there are 4 various versions, with at least 3 of them containing (randomly) the desired Deadpool trading card. This was the negative UPC version (with the Deadpool card) that sold 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 100% and had a high raw sale of $77.51. Wow. Just. Wow.

#7 TASKMASTER #3 SHANE DAVIS (1:25) (MARVEL, 2021) This issue features the first appearance of Taegukgi, a brand new South Korean “Captain American” type hero. Coming off the heels of Kevin Feige’s commitment to developing more Asian heroes, this brought a lot of heat and attention to this new character. This variant shot up in value super quickly and sold 12 copies with a 7-day trend of 465% and had a high sale of $125.95 for a raw copy. (Prices have just gone up from there)

#6 FOREVER MAPS #1 (SCOUT, 2019) Scout’s recent press release announced “Scout Comics & Entertainment is proud to announce that THE FOREVER MAPS by Michael Lagace and Todor Hristov is in development as a feature film with Josh Campbell and Matthew Stuecken (10 CLOVERFIELD LANE) adapting. Matthew Goldberg, Igor De Laurentiis, Ira Napoliello, Lit Entertainment, and Scout Comics are attached to produce.” This news helped ANOTHER Scout book land on our TOP 10 for the third week in a row. It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 218% and had a high sale of $25 for a raw copy.

#5 COVER #1 ZU ORZU VARIANT (IMAGE, 2018) Per SCREENRANT, “HBO Max orders a television series based on comic creator Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack’s Cover, to be written by Bendis and directed by Mack.” This helped this variant to move 16 copies, have a 7-day trend of 463% and had a high sale of $49.99 for a raw copy.

#4 THE IMMORTAL HULK #43 (MARVEL, 2021) As noted above, a controversial “recall or partial recall” helped continue to move copies this week. It sold 107 copies, had a 7-day trend of 86% and had a high sale of $31 for a raw copy

#3 X-FORCE #1 W/ DEADPOOL TRADING CARD (MARVEL, 1991) If you would have told us that we would not only have X-FORCE #1 on the top 10, but TWO versions… we wouldn’t have believed it. But here we are. This standard poly-bagged version made it all the way to #3 by moving 59 copies with a 7-day trend of 226% and a high sale of $40 for a raw copy.

#2 TASKMASTER #3 (MARVEL, 2021) As noted, this issue features the first appearance of Taegukgi. This standard-issue sold 57 copies, had a 7-day trend of 400% and had a high sale of $29 for a raw copy.

#1 COVER #1 (MARVEL, 2018) As noted above, this comic is being developed for HBO MAX. This news helped both the standard cover and variant land our TOP 10 this week. It sold 49 copies, had a 7-day trend of 722% and had a high sale of $79.99 for a CGC 9.8.
