#11 MICRONAUTS #1 (MARVEL, 1979) While this property was announced to be in development at Paramount all the way back in September 2019, recent speculation of the “Enigma Force” (first seen in this issue) will be used to bring Miracleman into the current KING IN BLACK series. While this is pure guesswork, it still sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 119% and had a high sale of $430 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 THE NEW MUTANTS ANNUAL #1 (MARVEL, 1984) It was recently announced that Lila Cheney (a mutant rock star with the ability to teleport) will be returning to the pages of X-Men this May. Fans rushed to buy her first appearance in this annual, moving 62 copies with a 7-day trend of 123% and a high sale of $75 for a CGC 9.6.

#13 THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #55 (MARVEL, 2021) Patrick Gleeson’s massively popular cover is still moving. This first print sold 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 101% and had a high sale of $139.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 WAR OF THE REALMS NEW AGENTS OF ATLAS #1 (MARVEL, 2019) As noted in previous weeks, at a recent press announcement for Disney+ Singapore, a comment was made toward Kevin Feige that it was “high time we get a Southeast Asian Marvel superhero on Disney+.” Mr. Feige was quoted with the reply, “I think it is. And I think you won’t have to wait there very long at all. We’ve announced a number of shows and we’ve got more in the works.” This news sent speculators racing to this series (despite most characters being from China and Korea). This week, It sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 120% and had a high sale of $166 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 NEW AVENGERS #40 (MARVEL, 2008) With the groundwork being laid for SECRET INVASION, fans are anticipating to see the Skrull Queen, Veranke whose first Appearance (AS the Skrull Queen) is in this issue. This expectation picked up steam with the actress Zawe Ashton casting in an “unknown role” for CAPTAIN MARVEL 2. Keep in mind that there’s also a tiny debate that NEW AVENGERS #1 may be her first due to her pretending to be Spider-Woman since NEW AVENGERS #1. It sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 138% and had a high sale of $48 for a CGC 9.2.

#16 VENOM LETHAL PROTECTOR #1 (MARVEL, 1993) This first Venom solo series quickly turned Venom from a villain to an anti-hero. While he could have been Spider-Man’s most dangerous threat, Marvel took him in another direction… and it worked. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 167% and had a high sale of $129.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 THE IMMORTAL HULK #43 DECLAN SHALVEY MARVEL VS ALIEN (MARVEL, 2021) As noted, IMMORTAL HULK #43 took over our top 10 due to some controversy over anti-Semitic imagery. However, this cover fell the quickest and sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high sale of $17.99 for a raw copy.

#18 STAR WARS LEGACY #0 (DARK HORSE, 2006) This 1st cover appearance of Darth Talon was one of the hot Star Wars books this week and sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 205% and had a high sale of $400 for a CGC 9.8.

#19 STAR WARS #2 (MARVEL, 1977) This book is still climbing after the Disney Summit announcement of the OBI-WAN KENOBI Disney+ series. His first appearance in this issue has been LONG undervalued as it also features the first Han Solo, Chewbacca, Millennium Falcon, Jaba the Hutt, and the Death Star. It sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 123% and had a NEW high sale of $1,299.99 for a CGC 9.6.

#20 AVENGERS #186 (MARVEL, 1979) This issue is the first appearance of “The Other” as Chthon (and also the 1st appearance of Magda, Wanda & Pietro’s mother). Recently, on VERY GARY COMICS Youtube show, it was mentioned that the “big bad” may actually be Chthon controlling Wanda. Per FANDOM, “Chthon is a being of unimaginable mystical power, specifically that which can be called Black Magic & Chaos Magic. This magic can manipulate, warp and reconstruct the very fabric of existence and reality to the user’s every whim and bring about total destruction to the cosmos.” He also previously possessed both Wanda and Quicksilver in the comics. So, this theory is interesting and getting traction. It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 145% and had a high sale of $499.99 for a CGC 9.8.
