#11 AVENGERS ACADEMY #1 MARVEL | 2010 This is actually another podcast related book, where they mention how this issue features several young Marvel characters like HAZMAT, METTLE, STRIKER, VEIL, and FINESSE. While there’s no rumor of them appearing anytime soon, they believe that (due to their young age) they could show up at some point during the MCU’s phase 4. It sold 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 160% and had a high sale of $89.99 for a NM+ raw copy.
#12 BATMAN #108 RICCARDO FEDERIC (1:25) DC | 2021 This issue features the first full appearance of Miracle Molly. This 1:25, featuring her on the cover, became a must-have variant for this first appearance. It sold 73 copies, had a 7-day trend of 62% and had a high sale of $54.95 for a raw copy (raw copies now sell for $30).
#13 BATMAN FORTNITE ZERO POINT #2 DONAL MUSTARD (1:25) DC | 2021 It’s hard to get away from these Fortnite issues. But, it’s the hottest book IN STORES right now. Ask your LCS what book everyone is calling for and the answer will be this series. It sold 38 copies, had a 7-day trend of 118% and had a high sale of $40 for a raw copy.
#14 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #129 (MARVEL, 1974) The first appearance of the Punisher is one of the hallmark keys of the Bronze Age, so it’s not a surprise that it hit a new record in this raging market, especially with the record prices we’ve been seeing on a weekly basis in the lower grades. While we don’t know how (or when) Frank will be brought into the cinematic MCU, fans are still investing. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 393% and had a high sale of $8,988 for a NM+ raw copy.
#15 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 | MARVEL | 2011 All of us regret not buying copies of Miles’ first appearance in UF #4. There was no way for any of us to fully comprehend how high this would go. This week, it sold 38 copies, had a 7-day trend of 107% and had a high sale of $3,400 for a CGC 9.8.
#16 STAR WARS KANAN THE LAST PADAWAN #1 MARVEL | 2015 As a refresher, this issue features the first appearance of Sabine Wren, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Chopper (C1-10P), Hera Syndulla & Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios. With all the Star Wars heat, and loaded issue of first appearances, this issue keeps going up. It sold 37 copies, had a 7-day trend of 105% and had a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8.
#17 LADY KILLER #1 (DARK HORSE, 2015) It was recently announced by DEADLINE that “Netflix Sets Blake Lively To Star, Diablo Cody To Write ‘Lady Killer,’ Adaptation Of Dark Horse Comic”. This news helped move 16 copies with a 7-day trend of 230% and had a high sale of $349.99 for a CGC 9.8.
#18 CONAN THE BARBARIAN #23 MARVEL | 1973 As noted above, actress Hannah John-Kamen was cast as Red Sonja for the Netflix film. This is the first official appearance of Red Sonja. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 171% and had a high sale of $1,499 for a CGC 9.6.
#19 JUPITER’S LEGACY #1 IMAGE | 2013 Jupiter’s Legacy hit Netflix on 5/7 and is doing well (despite mixed reviews). Fans loving the series turned to eBay to finally pick up a copy of the first issues. It sold 40 copies, had a 7-day trend of 91% and had a high sale of $218.04 for a CGC 9.8.
#20 SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #1 8TH PRINT BOOM! | 2021 Like the Foil version, this 8th print has been the most accessible version… and because of that, new buyers are grabbing what they can for this first issue. It sold 66 copies, had a 7-day trend of 77% and had a high sale of $120 for a CGC 9.8.
