#11 BITTER ROOT #1 IMAGE | 2018 Deadline is reporting that “Regina King To Direct ‘Bitter Root’ Adaptation Of Image Comics Series For Legendary”. Sales are WAY up across on 1st print covers. This first issue just barely made the Top 10 due to low supply on sites like eBay. Despite the sharp price increase, collectors seem to be holding onto their copies. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 246% and had a high sale of $399.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 IRON MAN #9 MARVEL | 1998 As noted in our top 10, this issue is the first appearance of THE WINTER GUARD (Steel Guardian (Josef Petkus) and Powersurge), as mentioned by actor David Harbour in a recent Instagram post. It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 363% and had a high sale of $24.99 for a raw copy.

#13 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #344 MARVEL | 1991 Man did LET THERE BE CARNAGE light some books up! This issue features the first appearance of Cletus Cassiday, who shares a jail cell with Eddie Brock and lays the groundwork for Cletus to become Carnage. It sold 44 copies, had a 7-day trend of 150% and had a high sale of $355 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 NEWSSTAND MARVEL | 1992 And… LET THERE BE CARNAGE! Carnage’s first appearance has been hot for quite a while now… so, sales are steady. However, every other key Carnage/Celtus early appearance is spiking big time. His first full appearance in this newsstand still sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 127% and had a high sale of $1,804.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 MARVEL | 1992 And yep, the direct edition didn’t get too far. It sold 58 copies, had a 7-day trend of 106% and had a high sale of $1,400 for a CGC 9.8.

#16 MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #72 MARVEL | 1991 Finally falling off of the TOP 10, this Wolverine origin story is still selling VERY well. As you recall, there were VERY loose rumors of a WOLVERINE Anthology series for Disney+. This very unlikely rumor sold 98 copies, had a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high sale of $995 for a CGC 9.8. It’s still a great book to own though.

#17 SPAWN #1 | IMAGE | 1992 Like ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4, Spawn is a COVRPRICE staple. Spawn’s recent comic expansion continued to move 53 copies, had a 7-day trend of 103% and had a high sale of $300 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 AMERICA CHAVEZ MADE IN THE USA #3 BETSY COLA VARIANT MARVEL | 2021 While the main issue (featuring Catalina Chavezm America’s sister’s first appearance) landed on the TOP 10, this variant also did well. It sold 30 copies, had a 7-day trend of 186% and had a high sale of $34.99 for a raw copy.

#19 MIGHTY AVENGERS #1 MARVEL | 2013 Marvel’s official THE MARVELS title treatment, features Monic Rambeau’s SPECTRUM logo in place of the letter A. This, of course, led many to assume that Monica will take on that moniker. Her first appearance as Spectrum is in this issue. While this is still speculation, it continued to move 37 copies, had a 7-day trend of 145% and had a high sale of $71 for a raw copy.

#20 VENOM VS. CARNAGE #1 MARVEL | 2004 This first issue from the four-issue limited series run from 2004 has been all the buzz with the new movie trailer for “Venom: Let There be Carnage”. In this first issue, we are on the cusp of Carnage having an “offspring,” and with confirmation from film director Andy Serkis that actor Stephen Graham is indeed playing police detective Patrick Mulligan (future symbiote, Toxin), there is an excellent chance we may see Toxin (the “grandson” of Venom if symbiotes abided by human genealogy) appear in this new movie – or at least a nice set up for a future film appearance! This one seems to be going up in value, with room for growth throughout the summer. It sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 138% and had a high sale of $508.29 for a CGC 9.8.
