#10 DARK REIGN YOUNG AVENGERS #1 | MARVEL | 2009 Speculating on content can be fun and it can also sting. Before LOKI on Disney+ started, most speculation pointed to other key books featuring a female Loki. One of the outlier books on that list was this first appearance of the new The Enchantress, which turned out to be the winner of them all (as of now). As most know by now (LOKI spoiler), The Enchantress aka Sylvie Lushton, appeared on LOKI episode 2. This first appearance is now on fire and sold 44 copies with a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high sale of $535 for a CGC 9.8.
#9 STRAY DOGS #1 SILENCE OF THE LAMBS VARIANT | IMAGE | 2021 This series is on fire. The horror homage covers are a huge hit and multiple covers are rocketing up in price. One of these hot covers is this Silence of the Lambs variant. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 176% and had a high sale of $605 for a CGC 9.8.
#8 THE NICE HOUSE ON THE LAKE #1 | DC | 2021 Keeping with the horror theme, James Tynion’s new series THE NICE HOUSE ON THE LAKE is a holdover from last week’s TOP 10. This week it sold 51 copies, had a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high raw sale of $21.
#7 VENOM #9 | MARVEL | 2018 Since it’s still pretty recent, we’ll continue to refrain from spoilers… though the fact that Dylan Brock’s first appearance is suddenly spiking is directly connected to Donnie Cate’s last issue on Venom #200. It sold 43 copies, had a 7-day trend of 123% and had a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8.
#6 SPAWN’S UNIVERSE #1 BOOTH SKETCH 1:50 VARIANT | IMAGE | 2021 With all the heat around Spawn, fans were all over this issue that sets the table for the 4 new Spawn spinoff series. This 1:50 is pretty tough to find and sold 67 copies, had a 7-day trend of 85% and had a high raw sale of $130.
#5 USAGI YOJIMBO #20 | IDW | 2021 Another holdover from last week. This issue’s introduction of a new recurring character, Yukichi Yamamoto, has captured the market’s attention. It sold 51 copies, had a 7-day trend of 113% and had a high raw sale of $29.
#4 MARVEL SUPER-HEROES SECRET WARS #3 | MARVEL |1984 Announced a few weeks ago, Jameela Jamil’s casting as the SHE-HULK villain Titania has been steadily moving copies. This week the new moved 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 196% and had a high sale of $203 for a CGC 9.6.
#3 STRAY DOGS #1 | IMAGE | 2021 Last week raw copies for this hot series spiked to over $100 with 55 copies sold and a 7-day trend of 163%. However, it’s the fact that a CGC 9.8 hit a new high of $410 that has everyone kicking themselves for passing this series over.
#2 MADAME XANADU #1 | DC | 1981 HBO and DC are slowly building towards their JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK series with last week’s announcement that DC Comics has a Madame Xanadu series in the works with Bad Robot. This news helped her solo series move 47 copies, had a 7-day trend of 198% and had a high sale of $150 for a CGC 9.8.
#1 STRAY DOGS #5 FRIDAY THE 13TH VARIANT | IMAGE | 2021 While this Stray Dogs FRIDAY THE 13TH homage isn’t the heavy price hitter like the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, SEVEN or the mega hitter BLAIR WITCH variant, this recent issue was hot right out of the gate and was a instant $10+ book. It sold 61 copies, had a 7-day trend of 397% and had a high raw sale of $23. These horror homages are definitely a thing right now.
