The bigger plot, and the reason for even running the spoilers, is the back up story featuring Mephisto and Doctor Strange. We have all seen by now, and if you haven’t this is a spoiler post, that Dr. Strange dies (Marvel has solicited a book saying just that.) My theory is that Peter Parker dies (which we have seen the FCBD Spider-Man book showing Scarlet Spider taking over the roll) and Doctor Strange sacrifices himself to follow and save him.

There’s definitely a plan to bring or rather ressurect Boomerang and I hope they turn Sandman back into a hero again.
