Poyo’s FOC Highlight Books for Last Call February 6th/7th 2022 ?

FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering.

Kicking off this weeks FOC picks with Marvel as they rule the hen house for the most part. I’m not even touching the FCBD books on FOC. Just order them if you desire them or wait until FCBD at the local shop to get for free.

Looking forward to Captain Carter #1 (of 5). At minimum I hope it’s a decent read.

We need a good Punisher series and come on Marvel, let’s make this one last a bit. At least 30+ issues or something like that.

Star Wars Han Solo Chewbacca #1 is another Star Wars must for me.

And the one TFAW can’t seem to spell correctly, Star Wars: The Halcyon Legacy #2 (of 5).

Strange Academy #17 (Stegman Character Spotlight Variant) has a pretty kick ass character spotlight variant on FOC.

Timeless #1 (3rd Ptg Buckingham Variant) gets a 3rd printing. Miracle fans will likely be picking this one up.

If there’s an Omnibus you should get, I think it’s Miles Morales Spider-Man Omnibus HC Vol 01 Andrews Cover. Miles is hot, is going to stay hot and will be the future of all Spider-Men one day.

There’s also a new Star Wars omnibus on my radar of possible must haves.. Star Wars Legends New Republic Omnibus HC Vol 01 Erskine Dm. These are always hard to find after release as most shops don’t go heavy with extra shelf copies and they can start fetching some pretty pennies down the beaten path as these normally get tucked away on book shelves, not to re-enter the secondary market as often as floppy books do.

While were talking bout omnibuses and such, Ghost in You HC a Reckless Book is another book any Brubaker/Philips fan should have on their order list.

Image surely is pumping out their Hero related books right? So with that said, Rogue Sun #1 (Cover A – Shalvey) is on FOC and while it’s certainly a check out, the writing better be spot on as all these latest superhero titles seem to be a little redundant with their looks. They all look the same coming out of Radiant Black’s universe and such.

For those that missed out on the ratio, Catwoman #39 (2nd Ptg) brings back the same cover but slightly modified with a different color. Does this hurt the first printing? Absolutely not, I think when the pump out more variations, it makes the first printing even more special.
