Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 4/27/22

Every week, tons of new books hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday

New #1’s
British Paranormal Society Time Out Of Mind #1 – Spin off from Witchfinder. Love the Mignola-verse.

Hulk Grand Design Madness #1 – Jim Rugg doing Hulk. Writer/artist Jim Rugg concludes his creative reimagining of the entire history of THE INCREDIBLE HULK in this can’t-miss oversized issue. You’ll never look at Bruce Banner the same way again!

Naughty List #1 – Punisher meets The Santa Clause in this new Aftershock book.

Knights Of X #1 – New X-Men team book.

Vermillion (Behemoth) #0 – This one has my interest because of the warning “Subject matter is heavy and extremely dark in nature.” We follow the young Persephone over one long and twisting night as it turns into one of abuse and destruction, after meeting a mysterious figure.

Ones to Watch
Gunslinger Spawn #7 – New villain appears. Carnivore. Very cool werewolf character.

Ms Marvel Beyond The Limit #5 – Bleeding Cool had published a story earlier this year that the issue contains a first appearance (feist appearance as their story says) that is tied in to the upcoming tv show. Sold out in a lot of places, check Mycomicshop tonight for copies.

Something Is Killing The Children #22 – New characters rumored to appear.

Justice League #75 – Death of the Justice League begins.

For the Cover

Star Wars Crimson Reign #4 Rahzzah Cover – These have been doing well on eBay. Get the set together.

Small Press Pick of the Week
Blood-Stained Teeth #1 – New Image vampire series that looks pretty cool. From creator CHRISTIAN WARD, the Eisner Award-winning co-creator of ODY-C, Invisible Kingdom, and Machine Gun Wizards, returns to Image with red-hot artist PATRIC REYNOLDS (The Mask) for an all-new ONGOING SERIES-a fast-paced 100 Bullets-style crime saga with fangs! Atticus Sloane-misanthrope, criminal, asshole, and vampire-lives in a world where blood isn’t the only thing vamps crave. And for the right price, he’ll make you a vampire too. After all, immortality isn’t cheap.

Pick of the Week
Amazing Spider-Man #1 – New Direction and status quo changes for the dynamics between Peter and Mary Jane. There are a ton of covers including the Travis Charest and Jim Cheung covers and for big wallets the 1:200 Artgerm Variant and the 1:500 Rose Besch Variant
