The story in the Batman One Bad Day Bane One Shot is actually pretty good. Bane is in Mexico, living as a Luchador, and reenacting battles with Batman (another luchador). He is presented the opportunity to take Venom again. He declines, throws a vial of Venom in his fire place. Bane and the drug dealer cross the dessert, and he tells the story of the time Bane teamed up with Batman. This is where we pick up, a flashback of Batman and Bane finding a storehouse of Venom. They decide to team up and put an end to the operation.
