FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering. Here’s a few of the highlights for this week…
Not a huge week for FOC but there are a few winners and possible potential good reads coming soon. Click continue reading to see what I’m picking this week for those books on final order!
Spider-Man #7 (2nd Ptg Variant) is getting all kinds of buzz after the first printing took off, making some cash for the speculators and comic flippers out there. Will this character stick around? Hard to tell, but since it’s been a really slow year so far for big firsts, a lot seemed to have jumped on this bandwagon so we’ll just have to wait and see.
I wouldn’t go heavy on the 2nd printing though. When they start doing ratios and every effing store is doing an exclusive, seems like it’s gonna be more of a grab a copy or two for the collection and long term gamble as while supplies run dry and if the demand sticks around (if the character proves themselves for the long term), then one day, maybe and a big maybe these might be worth the paper they’re printed on.
This one for X-Men #22 (Brooks Corner Box Variant) and for Avengers #1 (Brooks Corner Box Variant) is a pick for the nostalgia effect it has one me. Love the concept for this one when the corner box on Marvel books was a cool thing back in the day.
Love a good Ghost Rider book and I hope the new Danny Ketch Ghost Rider #1 (of 5) is an entertaining read at minimum.

Danny Ketch Ghost Rider #1 (of 5) (50 Copy Javier Saltar Variant) – This is a sweet variant cover. If you can find for cheap or at cover price, it’s a definite for me.
Not on FOC this week but soon enough is Danny Ketch Ghost Rider #2 (of 5), which appears to have a new character called The Broker. Cover art looks great. I guess we’ll have to see if he shows up in the first issue or perhaps the second issue. If it’s a smaller 1st appearance, the second issue with him on the cover could be a winner.
I like the concept with Far South Crooks Pimps & Gauchos #1 Cover A and the regular cover is pretty cool. It’s got me pre-ordering hoping for at minimum a fun read and maybe cool art. It’s got a pretty hefty cover price for an indie book, so a lot of shops won’t get heavy more than likely. Probably ideal to pre-order with a decent discount rather than pay full cover.

I really like this Danger Street #6 (of 12) (Cover A – Jorge Fornes). Brings back a lot of memories as a kid when I ate a bunch of cereal. Long past are those days… but buying a cover like this might be worth it for me.
