#14 W0RLDTR33 #1 FERNANDO BLANCO RECALLED PRINTING ERROR | IMAGE | 2023
Retailers were informed that copies of W0rldtr33 #1 were affected by a printer malfunction, causing the inks to print too dark and making the coloring muddy, obscuring artwork. If you can’t see the dead body at the bottom of cover A, then you have an error copy. While the degree of darkness can vary, on the darker copies, all you can see is the faint glow of a cell phone. The misprint affected Cover A, Cover D (Sienkiewicz), and one retailer-exclusive cover. The flawed copies were chased down, and retailers were advised to destroy them, but many still made their way to the aftermarket. There isn’t a verified print count on the error copies, but they are already becoming a desired collector’s item. We tracked 26 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 123%, with a high sale of $27 for a raw copy and a current NM FMV of $22.
