Every week, tons of new books hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday
Hey Wednesday Warriors, there is money to be made this week on the Pick of the Week, if you can secure copies. Check out what is on tap below:
New #1’s
Astrobots #1 – Whatnot – Writer of the original Transformers comic kicks off a new series about giant robots and based on a toy line.
Groot #1 – Marvel – A look at the early life of Groot.

Peacemaker Tries Hard #1 – DC Black Label – New mature series for Peacemaker.
Starsigns #1 – Image – The constellations of the zodiac fall to earth, granting twelve ordinary people from very different walks of life the superhuman powers of the Starsigns. But each of them is about to learn that power always comes with a price…

Pick of the Week
Star Wars #34 – A new first appearance or something, is driving the price of this one way up. Cover A has hit as high as $75 on one sale but eBay prices hovering in the $35-$40 range. Grab and flip.
I’m not seeing a spoiler variant for Spider-Man #8. Is that a typo?
Yes. There was an error in the post which has been removed. I mixed up two different things.
Oddly, ebay sales show higher prices for some comics that are easy to obtain on free comic book day.
