Every week, tons of new books hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday
What is up Wednesday Warriors? Eh… slow week again. Here is what is on tap:
New #1’s

Green Lantern War Journal #1 – New Green Lantern Series.
Hexagon Bridge #1 – Explorers Jacob and Elena Armlen find themselves trapped in a strange parallel dimension of elusive landscapes and shifting architecture inhabited by mischievous entities. Now it’s up to their clairvoyant daughter Adley and sentient robot Staden to rescue them!
Jack Kirbys Starr Warriors Adventures Of Adam Starr And The Solar Legion #1 – It’s JACK KIRBY like you’ve never seen him before! JACK KIRBY’s first cosmic hero, the pirate hunter Adam Starr, is back in this deluxe remix of KIRBY’s first Space Epic series. See Adam Starr and his Solar Legion of Star Warriors in a battle to the death with killer space pirates Black Michael, Arthak, and their evil armadas. It’s a rip-roaring space adventure with giant man-eating space worms, gargantuan alien killer fish, and planetary nuclear annihilation.
Junior Baker The Righteous Faker #1 – THE SURPRISE SEQUEL TO 2011″s BUTCHER BAKER THE RIGHTEOUS MAKER! Meet Daniel “Dizzy” Baker, a gonzo journalist chasing superhuman stories in a world that’s left superheroes behind. Rumpus Room #1 – New AWA series. Good read for the first issue. Very twisted.
Witcher Wild Animals #1 – New Witcher series.
Wonder Woman #1 – New series for Wonder Woman kicks off, Artgerm cover is awesome.
One and Done
Chilling Adventures Presents Madam Satan Hell On Earth #1 – New Chilling Adventures (Archie Horror) one shot.
Notable Reprints
Detective Comics #58 Facsimile Edition – The first appearance of the Penguin gets the Facsimile treatment.
Rom #1 Facsimile Edition – Rom is back at Marvel and the original Marvel #1 is getting a reprint. Never realized Frank Miller did the cover for it.
The Hail Mary
Wolverine #37 Surprise Virgin Variant – Marvel is putting out a one per store thank you for this one. Will be hard to find but could be worth it if you do.
Variant of the Week
Dark X-Men #2 Pablo Villalobos Variant Cover – Absolutely love Madelyne Pryor and this cover does her justice.
Small Press Pick of the Week
Left-Hand Path – Sci-Fi Horror small press book. Returning to their home world, a deep space crew investigates the ship that crashed there, killing everything. What they find inside it is a paradox: it seems to have no center. This is doom-laden space horror from Scott Bryan Wilson and Ken Knudtsen. You’ve been warned.
Pick of the Week
Predator vs Wolverine #1 – I am looking forward to this crossover. Wolverine vs Predator is probably the most exciting crossover since the bootleg Boba Fett vs Predator. Higher cover price featuring two franchises that have never crossed over before.
