Empath #1 – Black Box Comics – Sold out at Midtown and TFAW. An estranged son from a wealthy family finds his place in a chaotic city filled with vagabonds and wayward individuals. But as much as his family is in his past, his reasons for leaving them behind drives his everyday choices and fuels not only his desire to help others but also his uncanny and empowered empathic abilities to change things for the better. But the city’s ills may prove too great for him as both an emotional and physical battle awaits.
Petrol Head #1 – Image – In a climate crisis-ravaged future metropolis, an old, grumpy, obsolete, smoke-belching, cigar-chomping, HOTROD-RACING ROBOT is one 12-year-old girl’s only hope. Together, can they outrace the chasing Robo-Cops with an invention that might just save humanity?

Want to give a big thumbs down to Marvel for their new $5.99 price point that many of this week’s books carry.
$5.99 Marvel! And DC and all the other publishers….Come on. If Spawn can still be $2.99 with a card stock cover how can you charge us $5.99 and with a crappy barely thicker than the pages inside cover. Gouging us or what?! Plus us comic fans North of the border in Canucky land are paying 40% on the dollar extra so that $5.99 comic is $8.40 for us!
I buy a lot of $1-$5 back issues lately. More bang for the buck. Putting together a GI Joe run from 1-155 Marvel and 155 1/2-300 IDW
This has been a really down year for new releases.
I just hope when they resurrect Krakoa it will make the mutants not only give another Hellfire Gala but resurrect more of my favorite mutants and help most get back their mutant powers like Samuel Pare aka Squid Boy Alejandro Montoya aka El Aguila Lillian Crawley aka Diamond Lil Sunpyre aka Leiyu Yoshida Jebediah Guthrie among others.
