If you are a collector of error comics, here is a new one you may want to watch out for is the Keenspot Re-release of Hot Valley Days and Cocaine Nights #1. The original book was released in 2020 by Antarctic Press and goes for well above cover. Anyway, blame it on poor quality control from the printer or Keenspot not checking the books, but there are two different errors floating about in stores that might be worth grabbing. Check them out below:
Like I mentioned above Hot Valley Days and Cocaine Nights #1 has a couple of errors I am going to point out, and these are pretty big ones, not just color fading like we have seen on Mark Spears Monsters books.
Without opening the covers, these three books look identical.
However, if you open them up you see three very different interiors.
The one on the left has inverted inner pages (or an upside down cover if you prefer), and is a double cover with the interior cover being correctly oriented.
The middle one has just the inverted cover, and the third has the cover facing the right direction.
So if you open the issue up and see the back cover as the first page, this is the double cover with the inverted outer cover.
If you see the cover for issue 2, this is the inverted cover error.
And finally if you see the first page, then you know this is the regular, non-error version.
Here is the comparison of the interior of the inverted covers, flipped over going from the back cover, you can see the interior double cover vs the first page of story.
