Variant Envy: Empire Magazine Kylo Ren Action Figure Variant.

Sick of action figure variants? More and more people are saying they are. But, how about this one? Empire magazine released a UK only Kylo Ren Action figure cover.

The rub is that it comes with a real action figure.

According to tipster Richard M. these were limited to 4,500 pieces and retailed for £11.99. They are selling for £30-£40 (first time I have ever used “£” on this site
You can check out the listings here. but appear to be moving up in price. They were exclusive to Sainsbury’s in the UK.

  1. I’m not tired of them.. well, I’m not tired of the Star Wars ones that is. As for the GI Joe ones, they lost their appeal when IDW started making them the Sub covers…

    1. The GI Joe ones were Shop Exclusives done by More Great Art and Hall of Comics. Sad they were ripped off by IDW (Idea and Design Works my rear). But I m still getting them as they are the original figures. And at cover price.

  2. FWIW, it looks like they combined the magazine with the original 3.5 inch figure packaging. There is nothing unique about the figure itself.

That said I still want one.

  3. I won’t get one. I won’t get one. I won’t get one. I won’t get one. I won’t get one.

Now I just need to repeat that mantra until I forget about the fact that these exist.

Tony, you know the DrunkWooky is a patsy for Star Wars collectables!

    1. Just tell the wife “thank you. What a lovely Christmas (or enter what ever winter solstice holiday) surprise” and act truly surprised that you got it. She will not want to tell you she didn’t order it and if she does you can keep say, “sure honey, sure”.

  4. Got mine on the way, couldn’t find any in shops here so had to go to ebay, be careful of the condition though cus apparently a fair amount of them are in mid-grade condition due to how they’re distributed to shops and thrown around without care like the rest of the normal magazines.
