What’s in the box? December Comic Con Box Unboxing

Joe and I are back with the December Comic Con Box unboxing video. Check it out. This one features the some variant covers and some other goodies.

So the box is $29.99 plus shipping. Let’s see what kind of value it is…

Vader Down #1 Comic Con Box Color Variant– $12-$14.99
Vader Down #1 Comic Con Box Black and White Variant– $19.99-$29.99, was selling for $49.99 but most recent sale was $29.99.
Walking Dead #1 Las Vegas Sketch Cover– $9.99 (it is Gilbert Hernandez)
B-Side T-Shirt $9.99-$14.99

The low side it is $72 if you flipped the whole box and the high side of  $100, not too shabby!

  1. So are the Comic Con boxes getting better? Because my impression from the unboxing videos of the first few was that they just threw in whatever merch was leftover from the most recent con, and not much of it was exclusive.

  2. I have a subscription to Marvel Collector’s Corp and had one for Wizard Comicon box. I made significant $ on each one of the Marvel Collector’s Corp. I lost literally close to half on each of the Wizard Comicon box. That said, this box looks like it has alot better loot from the video. I cancelled last month nevertheless

    1. Not sure how you lost half…unless you are strictly month to month and didn’t get any of the big variants that pay for your whole 6 month subscription off the bat. Even still, half sounds very low considering I keep most of the stuff from the boxes (which I have found to be decent) and from the few things I have sold have gotten about half value back, though I’m already ahead since I signed up for a six month block off the get go.

      1. I actually have Wizard Comicon Box up for auction right now for 14.99 on the bay. I haven’t had a bit of interest in it and this is the 3rd relist. The previous box I finally sold for 18. For Both these I paid …. I don’t remember… but somewhere around 27 – 30?
Not happy and trashed the subscription

      2. I wouldn’t sell the box as a single listing, or at least I have never done it like that. Sell the comic here, the pop there, the little toys here and I think you make more money in the long run even with multiple fees removed. Just my opinion though, I have been fairly happy with the boxes thus far though it is not just for monetary gain so any money I get back just reduces what i paid for the stuff I like.

      3. Ahhh… gotcha…. great advice. I’ve been selling whole boxes. I guess people don’t look what’s inside and would rather pay more for an individual item than get everything for the same price. Thanks for that….

    2. Also, define significant money on the Marvel Cellector Corp boxes. Those Pops sell for $5 to $10 over what a normal Pop costs. Sounds like at best you are profitting $10 to $20 dollars on a $30+ box after shipping and taxes

      1. Correct…… about 35 profit for the 1st box… and then 10 – 20 for subsequent boxes on the Collectors Corps

  3. My box showed up today and while I was quick to jump with joy, sadness was soon to be sprung on me from the darkest depths of the darkness.
I opted I’m to receive extra goods in my box but to my surprise, they were not there. Makes for a sad day having looked forward to and enthusiastic about for some time. Will I be getting the extras any time soon or will I be refunded? To be honest, I don’t want the money back. I want what extras weren’t there. The second World of Nintendo ccb exclusive metallic Samus. Please contact me with any information you might have regarding this problem. I was excited to film my first unboxing but now I’m just glad that I did so I have it on video. . . . Here is a link to the FAILED unboxing.

    1. Chad, do two things. Contact them through their website but also upload your video to their section where you can do it. I got an email the next day in reference to the fact I didn’t get the BB8 headphones. I didn’t know I was supposed to until they emailed me after uploading my video to them.
