Just got word from Poyo that areas in Texas may be delayed for new comics thanks to the snow and ice we are receiving in the midatlantic region
As always, if you are possibly in the affected region, call your local comic shop before heading out.
There will be comic book delays in the Austin area (likely in other surrounding areas). Most comic book retailers and shops are reporting slight delays due to the weather up North.

Booo!!! Delays suck.
I know.. totally screws up my Wednesday routine..
Get up, make coffee, get kids ready for school to send them off, clean up, head out to comic book store. Then head to the other comic book store. Then head to work.. (yeah, I get to work around 10:30 or so on Wednesdays).. lucky for me, most of the shops in Austin open at 9am on Wednesdays.
If I can’t go to LCS in the morning, totally messes up my day as I don’t like stopping during lunch or after work in early evening, traffic sucks during those times.
My wife has an appointment tonight so no comics for me. I have to head straight home so I can get the kids so she can leave. I’ll have to stop tomorrow to pick up my pull. It sounds like you don’t ever need to quit your job lol.
When I have kid duty, nothing stops me from getting to comic book store, kids go with me… 🙂
I could go home and pick them up but that’s a whole lot of hassle. They do like to go to the comic shop with me though.
Make the wife drop them off at work to head to appointment then you head directly to the LCS.
I wish it were that easy.
We need teleportation devices..
Now we’re talking! Either that or a “get the kids ready and into the car in less than 5 minutes machine”. But yeah, I like your idea better.
Hehe.. it takes 5 minutes for one of my kids to tie one shoe most days 😉
and then you realize after they spent 5 minutes trying that the shoe was on the wrong foot and the process starts all over again…..sigh

You sure my kids aren’t your kids? Sounds like we have the same kids and don’t realize it.
It’s amazing how the shoe always goes on the wrong fit. I have 3 kids and every single one of them went through the phase. My youngest (3 year old) is doing it now. Good times.
Yeah, same here with one of my kids. My youngest never had the problem though.. oldest did it like every damn time..
Why is it that when I say “come on kids it’s time to go” my kids hear “now is the perfect time to tell me you have to poop”?

Kids come with me usually if I have to. Normally I try to squeeze it in before I pick up the kids if I can’t hit the lcs at lunch.
I usually go right after work so it’s not a big deal. I’ve brought them with me before which they get excited about because that means they get to pick out a book.
My kids bleed me dry at the comic shop. My oldest son is as much of a geek as I am.
I know the feeling. 40+ cm here today in Ottawa, Canada.
We had 2 1/2 feet a few weeks ago and then like 6 inches yesterday.
