I like getting a good deal on comics. I got one today, and am sharing it with you all.

I picked up five copies of The Walking Dead #115 Midnight Release Party Variant aka The Walking Dead #115 M. This is the biggest book of the week and not all stores got this variant, they had to do the midnight release party. Before I put them up on eBay I figured I would give website readers a chance to grab them at $5.99 each plus shipping. I only have 5 and they are first come first served.

The details: No limit, I have 5 though so keep that in mind. Shipping is $3.99 In the US for the first book first class shipping with tracking.     1. Sorry you disapprove that I am offering books at what I paid for them plus a small up charge to cover PayPal fees and bags and boards. I have from time to time used the forum to spotlight things I have for sale or plan to sell as I have to pay for hosting and other fees involved with the website. Stores are selling these for $10 I just thought some people would like a deal.

      1. I have watched this forum for months and now I finally have to comment. haha. I think offering those books up for that much in the forum is fine and more than a fair price. If I didn’t already have a copy I would take you up on it. Keep up the good work comic flipper. I have made some good decisions when purchasing comics these last few months because of you.

        1. Thank you Josh. Glad you are on board with us. The site is free for everyone to use but me. I pay a hosting fee and pay an annual fee for the domain name. I really try to keep my selling on here down to a bare minimum, so far I have only offered these 5 copies (now 2 by the way) and signed copies of Rat Queens #1. As a side note I do list anywhere from 50-200 books on eBay a month that I do not ever spotlight, the reason is I keep that separate from what I talk about here.

    2. Not to sound like a prick but I’d like to point out that this is more like a blog, not a forum. Secondly, I have bigger issues myself when people try to tell others how to run their own site.

      I think Anthony does a great job with this site and well it’s his, so he can do whatever he wants since it is, wait for it.. his site! 😉

  3. Definitely not telling anyone how to do anything with anything good sirs. If I had expectations as a visitor that didn’t include actual solicitations (call it opportunities if you like the price) to buy comics from the site host then forgive me and my feedback. Take heart that I no longer hold such expectations and carry on with your flips.

    1. Well I hope you still check out the site and use the tips and speculation to your benefit. I assure you that I rarely (only the second time in 8 months) offer anything for sale. Like I said earlier, I got the books for half of what everyone else is selling for and offered them at 99 cents above what I paid. And only did it at that price to recoup for bags boards and PayPal fees (a total cost of $3.25 if all 5 sell) and would profit a total of $1.75. Not really a flip as much as an opportunity to give readers, many of whom commented here and on Facebook, that they were unable to get this cover. So even at that, it doesn’t cover the gas to go her them and drop them off at the post office.

      Again, wasn’t trying to offend with my comment, but I wouldn’t really call it a conflict of interest.

    As someone who appreciates the heads up on speculative books (BTW, thanks for the heads up on Outliers and Avengers #158), if you’re going to offer your readers real opportunities like this TWD deal, I’m all for it. It would be different if you were trying to pass off crap to us, but you’re not so I say, keep going and thanks for your blogging.

  6. FYI,

    I visited one shop today and was able to snag another Cover M variant along with the Cover L Blank Variant. I was surprised they still had some but the stack was getting rather low. It seemed the only had Cover A, L and M left.

      1. Yeah, one shop was out quickly, another didn’t even have a release party (which was my regular shop, surprised me they didn’t do it even though I begged).

        I’ve snagged 3 total now, gonna hold onto them probably for now. It was nice to snag another copy today though for cover price, can’t beat that. 🙂

      2. Very cool. I would have taken up the offer as well but I managed to snag some so I leave the deals for others who likely didn’t get any as well. 🙂
