That’s right folks, the Garth Ennis and Glen Fabry classic Vertigo series is heading to Tv.
AMC tv, the home of The Walking Dead, and some other shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men has ordered the prediction of a Pilot episode for a Preacher TV show. AMC will be loing to of their more prolific shows and will have a hole in their schedules to fill.

Nice post guys! I’ve had my Preacher #1 since 1996 or so, and I just picked up a VF+ copy of Absolute Vertigo Winter ’95 #NN (1st Appearance of Preacher) for $5. EBAY is starting a resurgence for Preacher books:

We’ll see if the AMC tv news help push back issue prices up?

…Peace!
This is a series I have long held both Preacher 1 and Absolute Vertigo. Looks like I need to take a trip to my comic book storage and pull out a lot of books after this week.

Yep, I remember searching high and low for Preacher #1 back then. I finally found a copy in a small comic shop in Alabama, when I was back home on leave once.
Good days!

I won a copy off ebay recently for about $40 Hoping it heats up to what Walking Dead #1 is about now.
What was the print run of Preacher #1? I’m guessing it was much higher then Walking Dead #1, but I really don’t know. That’s more based on timing of the releases then anything else. I picked up my full run of Preacher four months ago. It wasn’t really an investment, I just figured many of the modern-classic series would, if nothing else, never go down in value.
Also, I was 100% on board until I heard that Seth Rogan might be involved. I’ve never been a fan of his stoner humor.
