Thanks to Stan T. for the heads up (as well as BED in the comment section.)

How long ago did you actually post this? 1 hour? Jeez.
The New 52, Lenticular covers, The Rebirth.
More and more storyline keep coming out from these Major Corporation. You got to Love it. With print runs in the Hundreds of thousands at time. How can a comic book of that many copies jeep Thierry value, or even more? I think not. Don’t believe the Hype, some of these websites like to gas shit up.
ONLY INVEST IN GOLDEN OR SILVER AGE! This new Crap won’t hold Value. Maybe in 70 years from now. Just saying.
Bronze Age is becoming the new silver age as silver age is now the new golden age, and golden age keys are now out of price range for the average comic collector time to invest in golden age and profit big has come and past. Look at some of the higher print runs of the 90’s books Superman #75 print run 4million, Spawn #1 print run 1.5million both fetch around $10 not bad considering print run size and the $1.99 cover price. I try not to invest in incentive and exclusive variant covers just flip them for profit, I worry about them holding value in the long run but still end up loving a few and keeping for the PC.
Well said Alana.
Can you email me the Alpha thing. I am going to be away from my email and phone for the next three hours.

If only the art and writing for all GA / SA books weren’t complete dog shit, they might make for interesting reads.
I think quote un quote, “old,” comics can still be enjoyable if you take them at the face value of what they are, older pieces of entertainment that are a reflection of their time. Plus, I’ve read some really good Silver Age stories before so I think your statement applying to, “ALL,” of the books is a bit much.
Oh. Well, I disagree.
There is a difference in collecting, flipping, and investing. Please not comic hustler we have talked about this numerous times in the past. We talk about collecting and flipping. We do not talk about investment.
I would never use comics to invest in.. if I can afford the actual comics that keep and hold their premium values (we’re talking Detective Comics #27, Action Comics #1, etc.. ), then I likely already invested wisely for such a rich hobby to buy expensive comics. There are way better ways to invest for retirement. If I’m buying comics and waiting 70 years for them to be super valuable, I’ll be long gone, returned to the stars by the time that has happened.. 😉
I’ve been coming to this site since the beginning.
I have personally made a lot money on some of the most obscure modern comic issues since this site started. Remember The Outliers #1 or even more recent, Norman #1. I remember Back when we were reading a guy named Comicflippers first posts, before we had comic giveaways or spoilers every week. I wish I would have kept a running total of the money I’ve made since then, but it’s not about making a fortune. It’s about funding my comic book habit, reading the coolest new books and collecting some of the greatest comic art around.
Thanks man. The Comicflipper was to keep my identity secret. Especially as more and more people began to read, including two or three of my local shops. After a while I just didn’t care if people knew who I was. I really appreciate all of you guys. Also, I wish you had kept track of how much you made since then I could bill you for my 10% fee
I very much remember Outliers. I still have two copies. I loved that book and hope it returns some day. I sold a bunch of them but kept two for what ever reason (probably forgot to sell one)
I’m so glad that comicflipper guy is no longer around.. he was annoying, bragging about all his flips and money he was making.. 😉
Outliers was awesome, I kept a copy. I recently sold one too.. for like $5 or so. But I did flip a few for a really nice profit.
I still flip and still make money but Comicflipper retired when I went public about who wrote the site. Couldn’t have the stores mad at me for getting good flips out of them. Plus it seemed like too much braggadocio showing off what I was buying and selling.
I also remember when comic flipper used to post stuff up. What ever happened to that guy lol.
He evolved.

Missed out. They are sold out
Copies of the different covers signed by Snyder are selling for $40 up. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5575053800&toolid=10001&campid=5337366000&customid=Allstar&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fm.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_nkw%3DAll%2Bstar%2Bbatman%2B1%2Bmidtown%2Bvariant%2Bsigned%26isNewKw%3D1%26isRefine%3Dtrue%26mfs%3DGOCLK%26acimp%3D0%26sqp%3Dall%252Bstar%252Bbatman%252B1%252Bmidtown%252Bvariant%252Bsigned%26LH_Complete%3D1%26LH_Sold%3D1
OOS.
That’s “out of stock”
I went there when it first popped up and the site was getting hammered…got 0.
Got 1
I literally had it in my cart, had to reset my password because I forgot it for Midtown Comics, and after doing that it informed me the item in my cart was no longer available and had been removed. Clearly this has me perturbed because I would think if something is in my cart it should be reserved even if I need to check my login info. Sigh.
That happened to me twice in the last month as well. I had an Ethan Van Sciver signed GL #1 in the cart and it deleted out during checkout as the page changed over. And again once with some variant I was ordering. Frustrating.
Forget the Batman signed copy.. I missed out on Once Our Land #2.. that sucker sold out way faster. I had them in my cart and added some other comics, probably about a minutes worth of time.. went to check out.. removed and sold out. 🙁
Check with Kevin at Frankie’s comics

Same thing happened to me. One of the fastest sell outs I’ve seen. Probably just a few asshats raided the whole stock. (and when I say “asshats” I mean “people I’m jealous of”)
Yeah, I hate asshats.. I hate myself when I’m an asshat that takes the remaining stock.. but I only do that after it’s been released for a few days, I usually feel guilty for about a second and I really forget about feeling bad when I see all the emails from Paypal of people sending me money.
I give everyone a chance on day one.. after that it’s fair game.
I have been picking up extra Animosity as I go along. They are still on the shelves so I grab a copy at a time.
Not in my area, they are all gone..
