Marvel Retailer Meeting NYCC 2016 Monsters Unleashed

Monster Unleashed will bring back all the classic “Rubber Suit” monsters from the 1950’s comics. Marvel heroes will need to come to the rescue and fight off the scourge. Axel Alonso stated “if you are reading Civil War II, you know it is a heavy book. This is not that kind of book. It will be fun.”
Monsters unleashed will feature several variants including a classic monster cover by Francisco Francavilla, an artist variant featuring a hero fighting a monster, including artist Mike Mignola, and an anime variant. The trade paper backs will not be the regular size books, they will be “monster sized” similar to the Artist edition format from IDw. Two “Monsterbus books” will be coming out reprinting the classic Marvel Monster material. Marvel’s game group will have Monsters Unleashed events across all Marvel’s games.
