It’s an amazing copy of Action Comics #1, the comic book that introduced Superman to the world, graded at a whopping 7.0 by Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) and is valued at $1 MILLION. It is estimated that only 100 copies have survived since it hit the newsstands on April 18, 1938; it is one of the nicest and most valuable existing copies. It will be on display all weekend, for viewing and for sale, at the Dave & Adam’s Card World Booth.
If that wasn’t enough, there will a SECOND copy on display at the show as an auction preview courtesy of Vincent Zurzolo, co-founder of Big Apple Comic Con, and owner of Metropolis Collectibles. This copy is graded at 5.5 and will be auctioned off in May. Never before in history has there been TWO copies of Action Comics #1 in one place at one time of this much value!!

  1. A Canadian created Superman..two struggling young Clevelanders..talk about revisionism.

  2. I remember the days of going to the SDCC in the 80’s and there would be at least four or five copies along with multiples copies of Detective 27, Marvel #1 and many others. Then again in 87 or 88 you could pick up a pretty nice copy of Action #1 for 25k to 30k. Not chump change but not millions either! Wow, times sure have changed.
