We open things up to hear from you. A free for all.
The 155th edition of the open forum!
NYCC was a blast. I am glad to be home to my family though. SO let’s hear what is new this week.

    1. Meh… Ross is great but De Campi is writing.. I am not a fan of De Campi’s writing. No Mercy was a horrible book. With that said, might not get the spec it deserves.

    Ok, so its been a few epiodes now and I can confidently say that Inhumans SUCKS! It’s just soo bad. Bad effects, bad casting, bad plot, bad adaptation. I mean, I’ll still watch it, but I won’t enjoy it!
    Looks like The Punisher will not be out in 2017 anymore, which is stupid because there will always be violence in the world. Yes, we know there is a small correlation between viewing media violence and real life violence, but that’s in children, not adults. How about addressing the real issues of poverty, education and access to firearms?!?! Geez Louise! Anyways, rant over.

    As well as any Marvel Lenticulars my shop managed to get. These are really just for my collection as I really love lenticular covers for some unknown reason. I don’t think these have really heated up, but They are going for $20-$30 CAD with shipping and I know it doesn’t cost $15-$25 CAD to ship a comic so I have to assume it is inflated shipping costs to lower the asking price but still make their money. So dumb. Can anyone explain the benefit to this other than lower asking price to seem cheaper???

    PC Pick up for the week:
    Spongebob Comics #1 NM+ used some Ebay bucks to get this for almost nothing. With the huge prices being paid for Rick & Morty, figured why not pick up Spongebob who’s been around forever also? #1’s are starting to sell for $35-$50 in nice shape.

  8. There were lots of Marvel Lenticulars from last week, still on the shelves this week at all the shops in my area. I have stayed away for the most part, as the images are quite blurred. I can’t make out a clean image on any of them. Quite disappointing.

    1. I agree, you have to catch them at juuuust the right angle and even then it’s a bit of luck.
      I’m a little surprised they aren’t moving because these things are usually a shut up and take my money thing. Maybe casual readers DGAF and collecters are salty about the ordering requirement or just marvel in general right now.
      My LCS just straight up didn’t receive some they qualified for and ordered this week and was basically told TS by diamond. Surprise surprise one of them they were shorted was my Deadpool :/ but don’t worry, I got the defenders /s

  10. Only 9 so far……. what’s up where’s everybody at. Nothing for me today, I’ll go tomorrow. Over the weekend I went to a local show in my area. I picked up a couple things, not much. The real reason I went was to scout the place out, because I’m thinking about getting a table at one of the upcoming shows. Tables are fairly cheap. I looked through pretty much every box and sure they have some of the same stuff that I do, but I still have a lot of stuff that they don’t. I think I will do pretty good, when I get a table.

    1. The perks of attending cons.. picked up my Infernocts at NYCC, all signed. 2 x Regular, 1 x Variant (which I was told should be really limited, supposedly stores had to order at least 10 copies of regular A before they could order the variant) and 2 x NYCC Exclusive. I still have one or two of the ashcans Mina handed out last year at NYCC as well. 🙂

    1. I picked up 3 today. I had one on pre-order I think.
      Eric Powell is gonna be at MondoCon this November.. so I have plans with these. 🙂

      2. Now there’s people trying to start a boycott of Justice League. So if women boycott Justice League all the success of Wonder Woman bringing females to the theatres for comicbook movies will be erased. DC film is going to be in trouble with Batfleck and Weinsteins actions. Enchantress played by Cara Delevingne from the Suicide Squad film role in the movie was given to her to keep quiet about what happened to her when she met Weinstein.

  16. Has anyone purchased anything from Loot Vault recently? I’ve placed a couple of orders for the Action Comics #1 reprint, but so far, nothing doing. One order was placed 50 days ago, so pretty slow service, to put it mildly. I’ve contacted them and they say they’ve been backed up and have added staff to take care of the backlog, but so far, nada. Just wondering how long I should give this – if others have ordered and received their items after a wait, then I’ll just check with them again to see if I can get them to move on my orders.

    1. I will pull that out of your post and post it shortly. Work is hell for me right now and it is hard to get stuff done during the day.

  18. Salty comment follows. I was excited about your post a few weeks ago concerning the arthur adams legacy exclusive. I love arthur adams so having an exclusive set in my collection would be something that I could enjoy. Imagine my surprise after having shelled out hard earned money for a three book set that was billed as exclusive when I found out that they made a convention variant of the Exclusive books that I already paid for. It’s a d-ck move and totally craps all over their customer and fan base.
