Greetings to my Comics Heating Up family. As I am writing this I am getting ready for a major event in Las Vegas. I have some comics to talk about and a few comic related items. Anyway, lets make some money with some comics cause you can’t teach that.
1. Verotika #1 tough to find indy book by Glen Danzig meant for grown ups. This has a movie based on it coming out and it looks #awesomesauce. So if you like horror, Danzig, and women, then this your book to invest in $5 and up
2. Wonder Woman #326 – if your a fan of Stranger Things, and I have been obsessed with it, then you need this book. Nuff said. This is used in season three in a scene between Max and Eleven. Love this show Green Lantern #185 is also in this scene. Both books are common can be found at most stores and shows and go for $1-5
3. Uncanny X-Men #145 I love that New Mutants trailer. Magik is the super star of the movie. This is her second appearance after Giant Size X-Men #1 (before Colossus’ baby sister gets her powers). Even this is a Classic X-Men issue. In the run Arcade and Dr Doom are the villains. The X-Men and Storm lays the smack down on Dr Doom $10-20
4. Dungeons And Dragons 4th Edition Monsters Manual – o.k. not a comic. However if your a fan of Stranger Things (Winona Ryder is still smoking hot for her age), and love the Demigorgon, then the cover of this manual is for you, son. This is a PC/signature series long term hold kind of buy $5-10
5. Marvel Team-Up #100 – first Karma, a Frank Miller cover, John Bryne art. New Mutants are on the rise The movie will be in the MCU. Mickey Mouse will play with his X-Men toys he told me he has plans for them this issue was also reprinted in Marvel Tales #250 happy hunting
6. Morbius action figure the Toybiz action figures of old are cheap and are the first time some of the Marvel characters are put in plastic over produced and not all that expensive this is the first Morbius action figure that trailer looks decent and interest in all things Morbius has spiked $10-25
Well this it for now. Hidden Gems will return in a few weeks as I have business in Las Vegas and a major announcement in February when I return, it will be epic.
love you all
blind adam out
I did not realize Miller did the cover to MTU100. Neat.
I’m hearing the Verotika movie may be a, “So bad and weird it’s good,” kind of thing. Like, “The Room,” for horror movies. I’m interested for sure.
Verotika was an anthology title with different creators in each issue. Likely the only thing from the comic in the film is the title.
