We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding.
We tend to focus on mostly the floppy copies each week and kind of ignore the trades and hardcovers that come out week after week.
The first pick this week goes to the favorite Clown in Town for most people and for anyone who is into Bermejo’s art.

Someone wrote an article saying DIsney should remake the original Star Wars trilogy. I about fell out of my seat. All these comics, tv shows, cartoons, video games, prequels, postquels, toys, novels, and rides are all to make money from you. The original trilogy is one good and two great movies it wasn’t about lining Mickey and his investors pockets or even George Lucas’s pockets during the original trilogy. He was doing just fine making money with Indiana Jones. Then George got greedy and tried to replicate the love of the originals for the prequels and special editions and I’ll give them credit they got one good movie out of the three with Revenge of the Sith. The postquels and Solo suck and Rogue one was good enough I thought the actors did pretty decent. So why on Earth would you want to ruin the one thing that really is Star Wars?
As much as a redo would make the CGI awesome, I still think the originals still stand up so I will always vote NO in redoing them.
Merchandising rights. Made money didn’t even want to. The ge made the prequels because he loved his movie so much he wanted to share it with a younger generation. Dude your so wrong.

….and make money doing it. Pretty sure he didn’t do all those prequels because he loved his story so much to share. From what I’ve gathered, I believe Lucas made a couple of billion off Star Wars before he sold to Disney, this includes all the movies, toys and merchandise. So yeah, he loved his story but he got paid generously for it all.
I have a hard time believing if someone loved something they created so much, why’d they sell it all, retaining zero rights to any of it now? Lucas doesn’t even earn royalties from anything Star Wars related. He might not be some greedy snob but he certainly didn’t love it that much to just give it all away to one of the largest corporations in the world.
