#10 BATMAN FORTNITE ZEROPOINT #1 DC | 2021 Sales fell again from 122 copies last week to 61 copies this week. Yet, it still had a 7-day trend of 100% and a high sale of $53 for a raw copy…. Which helped it remain on the list this week. Fortnite players picking these up to get the Armored Batman with all 6 codes. For those tired of seeing these on here, we have two more months of issues (plus subsequent printings AND variants). Buckle in.
#9 BLACK WIDOW #6 MARVEL | 2021 A holdover from last week, this issue features the first appearance of Lucy Nguyen aka Marigold, who becomes Natasha’s protégé. This sold 56 copies, had a 7-day trend of 113% and had a high sale of $29.50 for a raw copy.
#8 CONAN THE BARBARIAN #24 MARVEL | 1973 Recently, actress Hannah John-Kamen was cast as Red Sonja for the Netflix film of the same name. CGC designates Conan #23 as the first appearance of Red Sonja and this issue as the 1st full appearance. Both are important. Since #23 gets most of the focus, buyers quickly turned to this issue and moved 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 339% and had a high sale of $1,100 for a CGC 9.4.
#7 BATMAN FORTNITE ZERO POINT #1 2ND PRINT DC | 2021 Yep, this 2nd print made the list as well. All of these issues are proving to be the perfect quick flip for smart collectors who put these on their pulls early on. It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 224% and had a high sale of $26 for a raw copy.
#6 SECRET WARS SECRET LOVE #1 2ND PRINT MARVEL | 2015 The guys on a popular podcast mentioned this book and noted how this 2nd print homage (Our Love Story #1) was most likely a low-printed issue. With Kamala on the rise, low printed issues featuring her on the cover are going to see significant market increases… which it did. It sold 39 copies, had a 7-day trend of 191% and had a high sale of $50 for a raw copy.
#5 MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #72 MARVEL | 1991 For the 3rd week in a row, this Wolverine origin story landed on the Top 10. Recently, there were VERY loose rumors of a (very unlikely) WOLVERINE Anthology series for Disney+. Still, bad content rumors tend to still move copies as it sold 98 copies, had a 7-day trend of 80% and had a high sale of $850 for a CGC 9.8.
#4 SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #1 LCSD 2020 FOIL | IMAGE | 2019 This issue is benefiting from being the 2nd most affordable version of the first issue. It sold 57 copies, had a 7-day trend of 152% and had a high sale of $295 for a CGC 9.8 (most 9.8’s are selling for $200… which is still pretty great).
#3 BATMAN FORTNITE ZEROPOINT #2 DC | 2021 And….. another FORTNITE book. It’s worth noting that FOC for Issues 1-3 were all at the same time, so even with this massive market heat stores weren’t able to up their order to meet the huge demand until issue #4. Therefore, #2 and #3 are even tougher to find. It sold 109 copies, had a 7-day trend of 94% and had a high sale of $30 for a raw copy.
#2 MIGHTY AVENGERS #1 MARVEL | 2013 Marvel recently released a preview of their upcoming slate of films, including the official announcement of THE MARVELS (replacing CAPTAIN MARVEL 2). In the tile, the A was replaced with Monica Rambeau’s SPECTRUM logo. This, of course, led many to assume that Monica will take on that moniker. Her first appearance as Spectrum is in this issue. While this is still speculation, it sold 70 copies, had a 7-day trend of 182% and had a high sale of $350 for a CGC 9.8.
#1 CARNAGE BLACK, WHITE & BLOOD #3 KEVIN EASTMAN (1:25) MARVEL | 2021 With the VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer FINALLY released (YAY!), this book is trending at the perfect time. This series features an anthology of stories centered around Carnage. However, Kevin Eastman is a fan-favorite artist and rarely draws books outside of his comic children, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. His 1:25 for this issue is incredibly tough to find, and therefore witnessing high demand. tIt sold 40 copies, had a 7-day trend of 530% and had a high sale of $53 for a raw copy.
The only reason anyone is going after secret wars secret live us because a copy is idiots mentioned it and the sheep run out to buy it. There’s a ton of books with low print runs hat have much more popular characters on them. I’m honestly getting sick of seeing shit books be boosted because of idiot talking heads.
Can someone confirm Conan 24 really a first full? I thought Sonja was seen in multiple panels in 23, but I don’t have the book so I can’t confirm it’s cameo status.
Seems like 24 is the first “full story” and cover….not a first “full appearance”.
23 is not a cameo, it seems. What a weird way of noting it on a slab. But if this were true, I can see why with a cover and story dedicated to her it has “key” value.
