Every week, tons of new books hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday
Returning Favorites
Daisy #4 – I cannot explain how good this book is. It deals with giants, fallen angles, deformed children, resurrection, and all in a backwater town that is covering it up.
Naomi Season 2 #1 – Hot off the first season of the TV show, Naomi returns in her own series again.
New #1’s
Trial Of The Amazons #1 – New series for Wonder Woman. there is a 1:100 Rose Besch Fluorescent Ink cover that could prove to be hard to find. Completed sales are all over the place as they were selling for just shy of $200 last month and now are below ratio.
Little Monsters #1 – New Image Comics Series from Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen, creative team behind Descender. Looks awesome.
Radiant Red #1 – New series in the Radiant Black Universe focused on Radiant Red.
Captain Carter #1 – One of the breakouts from Disney + What If? Series gets her own book. The Marvel Studios Animation Variant Cover sold out at Midtown for $45 each and is selling for $60-$80.
Punisher #1 – Frank Castle becomes warlord of the Hand. How can a man who has fought crime become the head of a group of assassins?
Wilder #1 – Small press book from Black Box. Set in a futuristic San Francisco, Dr. Deja Wilder leads Wilder Investigations, LLC, an anti-poaching and animal rights management firm dedicated to protecting and saving the depleting population of species throughout the world from would-be-human predators.
Hit Me #1 – The preview looked awesome on this new AWA series. A high-octane crime thriller from Christa Faust (Bad Mother, Redemption) and Priscilla Petraites (Chariot). Lulu has a very unique profession: She gets paid by the bruise. When she is witness to the execution of one of her regular clients, she escapes into the night with a briefcase filled with diamonds and a pack of killers on her trail. Navigating the dark underbelly of decaying, early-90’s Atlantic City, one step ahead of her pursuers, Lulu must call upon every one of her street-born instincts and underworld connections in what will be the longest – and possibly last – night of her life.

For the Cover
Detective Comics #1056 Regular Cover – The preview image was terrible, but I do like this Harley cover the way it turned out.
Draculina #2 Cover M Homage Cover – I do love a good homage that makes sense. In this case Draculina gets an homage to her big sister’s first appearance on Vampirella #1
Spawn #327 Todd McFarlane Cover – Speaking of a good homage, Mcfarlane homages himself on this Haunt cover.
Star Wars Crimson Reign #3 Rahzzah Knights of Ren Cover – These have been hot, must pick up. Check Mycomicshop tonight for copies.
Strange Academy #17 Character Spotlight Cover – This Gaslamp cover is already doing as high as $10 on eBay.
Ones to Watch
Spider-Gwen Gwenverse #1 – Gwen returns in an all new series across the Gwenverse. Tons of new characters and the return of a much specced on character. Love the Greg Land Homage cover.
Betty & Veronica Friends Forever Power-Ups #1 – Simply put, Nintendo and Mario homages have historically done well. Chance of this one having a small print run and has crossover potential.
Small Press Picks of the Week
Red Room Trigger Warnings #1 – Ed Piskor over the top series. Gruesomely good.
We Live Age Of The Palladions #1 Black
We Live Age Of The Palladions #1 White – Mega hit We Live returns with a new series two different issues, a black and a white, for the new series
Pick of the Week
Star Wars Han Solo & Chewbacca #1 – Sold out at Midtown and TFAW, Why? All I can say is if you are on the forum you may know already, but spoilers to follow.
I thought the Conan the Barbarian facsimile edition came out in December…?
